Yes, because the stoploss logic is self-contained in the trading system running in VT Trader on your PC. If VT Trader is not connected to the Internet and running in auto-trade mode the stoploss logic contained in the trading system has no way to request an automated trade action.

I have come across an indicator on a MetaTrader forum usually called StepMA_Stoch, which is a trend indicator. Is there a VT Trader version of this available? Can anybody explain what the indicater does?

today try to run the auto trade using 30min TF, long EU but it dropped > 30 pips and the system is not closing the trade ( i put a trail stop with intial stop at 30 pips) because the current bar is yet to be complete.. It waited until the close and it was already 40 pips++ .. this is really terrible , any way to code so that when it hit 30 pips, it will close the trade imediately?

As I understand it, VT Trader will be returning to Tick Trading within the next few Upgrade Releases. Until then, it will only execute at the Close of the Bar. To reduce the length of time you have to wait for the Bar to close, you could try running it on a lower timeframe.

Can you explain how the system works?
This is the most I was able to find from the couple of forums I searched.

If you open the EA in metaeditor and read through the script there is a description of the trading rules that you could follow manually.

Can you post that description?

I am not sure how this strategy works and I don't use metatrader. I found some documentation in a different forum.

Did you look at the zip file you posted?

Hi everyone,

I decided to open an account at CMS after playing with these trading systems for a little while on a demo and seeing the potential behind them. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed so far, and all I've been using is the built in VT-Complex Trading System (on 1 hr chart) and the trailing stop and reverse system (set on manual at 30pips).

I can see from the posts that you guys have some serious experience behind you and expertise, so I'm going straight for the money on this question:

Which single system have you found to be the most profitable and:

-on what currency pairs more than others

-with what specific parameters

and where can I find it?

Hi Bemac, i did some modification on the TS Full template 06 to change it to a stop reversal ts , but the reversal seems to be lag 1 bar behind ( the reversal trade wil be excecuted 1 bar after the exit signal appeared) , is that possbile to make it so that the reversal trade can be excecute immediately at the same bar where the exit signal appears?

Here is the add in to change the TS to a stop reversal system:

LongEntrySetup:= Indicator1=1 or shortExitsignal=1 ;
LongExitSetup:= 0;

ShortEntrySetup:= Indicator2=1 or longExitsignal=1 ;
ShortExitSetup:= 0;

How are you defining shortExitsignal and longExitsignal ?

You appear to have nothing for Exit Setups. To Stop and Reverse You have to Exit the Open Position First and then Enter the New Position.
This can be done at the Close of the Same Bar.

Hi bemac, for the exit signal, it is excatly same as the Full Template TS 06 of yours, the exit setup for me is either stop loss been hit or trail stop been hit.

I'm afraid I can't translate from MT4 as I am not proficeint enough to understand MT4 code.

If you can give me a plain English description or a link to a the calculations, I will have a look at it.

Can I have an indicator or a system, that draws a trendline (virtually or on chart) and alert me when it's been broken???
Or, this must be a human-vision issue???

Or can I have a system, where I draw trendlines, and the system trades automatically according to the breakouts it notices???

So far, I haven't been able to logically define what a "Peak" or a "Trough" is. Is it the high of 4 bars or 40 bars? So it wont plot Automatically [Like Omega].

But if you are willing to identify which Bars those are AND input those Dates & Times, I have a Trendline "Trading System" [No Trading Enabled] that will come close to your request.
**NOTE** It will not plot the line between the 2 points that the Trendline is based on. It will, however, identify them by plotting Bullseyes at those points & then plot the Extension of those 2 points.**
*Also Note* The format of the Date Input is DayMonthYear NOT Month Day Year as displayed by VT Trader. [ Date and Time of Bar can be seen by left click on the bar and looking at Status Bar Below the Chart.]
I will post it in New IND & TS. Import it into Trading System Builder and it will show up in your Custom Trading Systems as TLBAlert.

Could you post the code for the first step of one of the suggested systems in street smarts.
It is the 3 period RSI of the 1 period momentum (1 period momentum= close today minus close yesterday).
