Ok Santa, what I want is a brand new indicator called HG.vtscr* and i wanna bike and I want the indicator to just make me ooodles and oodles of cash every day and so I don' have to work or nuffin or watch those pesky charts. and I wanna PS2 and I want the HG to make it so I don't even have to call my broker to get my money, I just want it to come right out of my old floppy drive slot; and I wanna new TV and ...........
i am using vttarder platform and my daytarding system is fx10.
can any body help me and make a automated system based on the strategy.

Hi Kamyar,
I used the VT TS Template that Chris devised to apply the creteria you specified.
Test on Demo Only to ensure it is what you want to Trade.
The entries are based on the WMA crossing the SMA with all the other critera already being correct.
If this is not as you understand it should be, let me know.

I am hoping that a programmer will take a intrest in some of Boris Schlossberg new book- Technical Analysis of the Currency Market. He uses a setup he calls "bollinger bands bands", it is simply a 2 standard dev band with a 1 standard dev band. A setup that works very good in a trending market is buying on breakout of 1 std dev band and staying with trend until close back below the 1 stddev band(i will attatch image). It reminds me of a Pac-Man gobbling up profits.
I currently use it also as a stoploss on a breakout. It works good as a trailing volatility stoploss.

It works in any timeframe and it is always 1 stddev and 2 stddev.- (he suggests 1hr up to daily).
On a buy breakout- to close trade- You are waiting for a close back below the "upper" 1 dev band. It is basically a trend-following method that rides the trend while it is above the "upper" 1 dev band, it seems to make a breakout channel in between the upper or lower 1 and 2 bands - If you overlay the 2 bands- as you scan through time- you will notice that on trending markets the price will ride above the upper 1 band while trending etc.. When the trend starts to stall- also good time to exit- it will fall back below the 1 dev band so you are waiting for a close to signal stop.

I do not think it matters if it is a combination of 1.2 to 2.2 or .8 to 1.8 bands. He did not mention that he did any backtesting. It is basically a volatility breakout method?

Don't let me stop anyone else from taking on this project, please. I really don't want to be considered as "The Coder" but I will have a look at this over the next day or so.

From trading this setup- I have noticed that you can get alot of false breakouts- so some type of trading filter might be in use.
Anytime I am in a good trending trade I put on the bands for a stoploss. I used to use a Average True range trailing stoploss, say 1.5 multi or whatever, but I have found that using this as a exit works better.

I am not a programmer- I am guessing that a interaction of 1 dev band and 2 dev has never been programmed for VTTRADER. If somebody could program the exit( close below 1 dev band) the trailing stop could be implemented.
After that:
You could also make a complete system by having the system go short after a long breakout(close back below 1 dev band) with a target of the bottom 1 dev band.
In Schlossberg book he uses several different setups with the B Bands based on the old trending market vs. range market etc..

After actually taking sometime and looking over this website I stumbled accross Boris Schlossberg himself- as the editor. I am sure if you have any questions about his setups, just send him a message!
By the way, Boris Schlossberg, if you read this thread- I loved your new book. I have been making a killing with your Bollinger Band Bands. After reading your book I finally started to show a profit. I even gave your book a 5 star review at amazon.com under name Rippy.
I have centered my trading strategy around the bollinger band bands setup- so please let me know if I am breaking any copyright law by using any of it etc..

Like all the books in the "Wiley Trading"- it is a higher priced book at $60.00, but some of the Wiley books run at 100 bucks. I ordered it off of Amazon for $35.00. I would not buy it at BarnesNoble!
It is by far the best TA book on the spot market.
