One thing I did notice in reviewing my charts is that a position should be opened when the latest candle closes above the shorter Upper BB only when the shorter Upper BB is above the longer Upper BB. Vice versa for a short.

The reason I point this out is that at times the shorter BB may be outside of the longer BB on both the top and bottom - which would cause both a long and a short to execute under my previous post.

With my logic - it should read something like this:

SHORTER BB refers to 20 period, 1.5 standard deviation
LONGER BB refers to 45 period, 2.0 standard deviation

Therefore, for long if CANDLE CLOSE > UPPER SHORTER BB, THEN OPEN LONG POSITION IF UPPER SHORTER BB > UPPER LONGER BB. CLOSE WILL OCCUR WHEN UPPER SHORTER BB < UPPER LONGER BB.

For short if CANDLE CLOSE < LOWER SHORTER BB, THEN OPEN SHORT POSITION IF LOWER SHORTER BB < LOWER LONGER BB. CLOSE WILL OCCUR WHEN LOWER SHORTER BB > LOWER LONGER BB.

Claude --- I d/l the indicator you kindly provided but I can't get it to look like your picture -- ie. a simple histogram . I tried to edit it but could not recognise a T3 function on the VT format. When I change the Properties to histogram I am left with a histogram interspersed with a pink band of varying length/duration between which does not seem to correspond to the ranging .v. trending profile of the chart.

How can I change this existing d/l to match your picture? --- which depicts exactly what I want.

It seems to only open a position at the cross of the BBs - for example it won't open a position where a cross occurs and four bars later a bar closes above the upper BB. I would like to see a position open/short upon the first close above/below the outer BB.

You will notice the first block of code has been commented out [by being placed inside {...} ] and replaced by the Second Block.

The reason I suggest that you do it this way is it will allow you to compare both methods by simply moving the French Brackets {}.

It should display properly with all the default settings. As far as the T3 function, I did not use it. I wrote out the T3 average line by line.

Is anybody else having a problem?

if so just let me know. All go through it agin but it works fine on my system.

Bemac -- I can't seem to find the Vegas One Tunnel ? I recollect that you programmed up your own version but I can't find it at "the other place" !!

As Vegas is going to use this (with VWB ) as the basis of his hedge fund approach I thought I ought to take a look at it as I originally just employed the 4H and struggled with it as the weekly trend indicator was too slow and the VWB never reconciled well with 4H ( Knife) in my humble opinion anyway.

As an aside is the original 1H document to be found at FFx ?

I read, briefly, it really only needs the 2 EMA's.

I'm not sure Camarilla has been successfully coded for VT Trader. Is it absolutely neccessary for the system?

Hist_Step_MA_Stoch_KV1_Ex_03 set at 2000 bars.
Set filters on Step: +0,04 and -0,04. <o></o>


Plot aNina_v1, set it at 9000 cbars.<o></o>

Hist_StepMA_Stoch is the main indicator here. When Hist_StepMA_Stoch and aNina give signal simultaneously, the better. Do not trade if they give opposite signals. <o></o>



TF: 30 minutes.
Trade time: 08:00cet to 18:00cet<o></o>

Optional tools:<o></o>

FiboPiv_v2<o></o>

MAX Movin Average set at 50, 14, 2000, 2<o></o>

SDX-TZBreakout<o></o>

Standard or Level 1 signals:<o></o>

Buy when price crosses EMA 50 and new bar opens above. Hist_StepMA_Stoch must be green.

Sell when price crosses EMA 50 and new bar opens below. Hist_StepMA_Stoch must be red.

If price and Hist_StepMA_Stoch crosses are simultaneous, the better.<o></o>


Level 2 signals (riskier):

For instance, when price is above EMA 50 with Hist_StepMA_Stoch in green. Price then opens one bar at least below EMA 50 and Hist_StepMA_Stoch keeps in green mode. When price opens again above EMA 50 with Hist_StepMA_Stoch validating (green), we can buy. The opposite for a sell.

Level 3 signals (riskier):

For instance, we are in bullish mode: price above EMA 50 and Hist_StepMA_Stoch in green. Suddenly, price goes down crossing or without crossing EMA 50 and obviously without opening below it. Hist_StepMA_Stoch changes to red. We buy when price goes up again always validated by Hist_StepMA_Stoch that should change to green again.<o></o>

Level 4 signals (Take care): <o></o>

Level 4 is when price, after a consolidation of a few bars, breaks through the last high or low. The main thing we need is an indication of strength, and if we don't get it, it could be a trap!

Obviously, the breakout down should have Hist_StepMa_Stoch in red and green for the opposite.

Something to take into account:

Pairs to trade: EURUSD, USDCHF and GBPUSD.

When bar opens more than 20 pips above/below EMA 50, the signal is riskier.<o></o>


Do not buy/sell, for instance, EURUSD because GBPUSD has a signal. Wait for the signal to come in each pair you want to trade. Look at EURGBP, USDCHF and US Dollar Index always.

Not very well. Hopefully we can get some help on this.
I got the pm and will try to decypher it but I'm not sure how successfull I will be.
Thkns alot for the help. I have tested the CATFX50 indicators by using the meta4 demo and found that it generates good signals.. The main idea is 50EMA crossing but the trade is only confirm with the main indicator Hist_Step_MA_Stoch_KV1_Ex_03
Anyone culd translate this strategy for vtTrader?

I may be able to convert the above FF Indicator with a few mods to a TS but I don't think it will have all the lipstick of the one posted @ TSD.
