People in the second tranche have had their claims portal accounts updated to allow them to upload any other required documents "if necessary". KPMG will email you IF this is necessary. It's currently not necessary but they have updated our accounts to let us do so if FSCS says it's required. Yes, alot of us recieved an email on Friday saying our uploaded documents have been reviewed and were deemed sufficient and that our claims could now be processed for the FSCS. KPMG support said they would contact us again via email "IF" any further documentation...

You're welcome

This is the email we recieved:

Dear Sir/Madam
Alpari (UK) Limited (in special administration) (the "Company")
Thank you for agreeing your claim in the Claims Portal and providing the necessary documentation to evidence a change to either your personal information or bank details from those held on the Company’s records.

We can confirm that the documentation that you have provided has been examined and confirmed as sufficient to enable your claim to progress.

Please note that we will contact you in due course if there are any further documentation requirements, or if you are required to log back onto the Claims Portal for any reason.

If you have any further questions please contact [email protected]. For updates on the Special Administration, please continue to monitor the Joint Special Administrators’ website – www.kpmg.com/uk/alpari

Yours faithfully

From what I understood choosing ETX does not automatically send your claim to the FSCS.

The new functionality in the Claims Portal covers both claiming compensation from FSCS (if eligible and subject to agreeing to FSCS Payment Terms) and the option of having distributions from the Company or compensation from FSCS (together Payments or Distributions) paid directly to an ETX Capital (ETX) trading account if you so choose.

That was taken from one of the emails I received from KPMG. It says that you can choose to have your distributions from the company or the FSCS directed to your ETX account.
So if you chose to continue your claim with the company then choosing ETX wont automatically assign your claim to the FSCS.
I may be wrong but thats just how I read it.
If you did choose to continue your claim with the company you can still change and assign it to the FSCS but you need to email KPMG to do so.
Hope it all works out.

I have replied to them on the email I received on Friday .

They replied to me just now with the following:

Dear Sir/Madam
Alpari (UK) Limited (in special administration) (the "Company")
I can confirm that you have agreed your claim with the Joint Special Administrators and that you have chosen to assign your claim to FSCS. Your details have been passed on to FSCS.

Due to the number of checks that need to be performed to ensure that a client can be paid, including confirmation of personal and bank account details, some clients who have agreed their claims in the Claims Portal will not have been paid in the first tranche of compensation payments. The JSAs and FSCS are working through these as quickly as possible and if any further information is required from individual clients, the JSAs or FSCS will be in contact. If no further information is required it is envisaged that those clients will be paid in the next tranche of compensation payments. FSCS expect to make the next compensation payments in June 2015.

Please continue to monitor your registered trading email address for communication from both the Joint Special Administrators and/or FSCS. Please also continue to monitor the Joint Special Administrators’ website- www.kpmg.com/uk/alpari

Kind regards

I am really just tired of the different dates given to me. In the above message they mention payment in June. Why all of a sudden is this shifted to June?
I spoke to FSCS twice last week and on both occasions it was confirmed that the second tranche will happen before the end of May.
My frustration knows no boundaries.......

Just spoken to FSCS.
Gary told me to just wait and that payments will be made.

He could not give me any other info at all. He wasn't very helpful.

He also said that payments are complex and that we should just wait! That is it!

since we are all swimming in the same pool. The 2nd tranche could take its time as they told cobra. We have no option just to wait and see. We had been waiting for 6 month now, lets bare another one. It is difficult on us all guys!

Very true, but an e-mail would be nice nevertheless.

What these guys don't seem to understand is that a simple e-mail or update on the website saves them a load of other e-mails and phone calls.

So who'd have thought it would prove so difficult to open a USD denominated account from within the UK... I have ended up talking to a private bank which is really dragging it's heels about it.

This means that I'm not going to be able to confirm my account balance on the portal and upload the new account details before the 31st May, which I guess means that I'll be in the second tranche. Which I guess means that I'll get my money when ????

Is anyone else in the same situation as Me ?
