So who'd have thought it would prove so difficult to open a USD denominated account from within the UK... I have ended up talking to a private bank which is really dragging it's heels about it. This means that I'm not going to be able to confirm my account balance on the portal and upload the new account details before the 31st May, which I guess means that I'll be in the second tranche. Which I guess means that I'll get my money when ???? Is anyone else in the same situation as Me ?

you don't need a dollar denominated bank account to receive usd funds. The banks convert automatically at the spot rate

True, most UK and european citizens got paid in the first tranche. But as you said, people in middle east, and overseas were postponed to unknown date. As some one asked whether we still trust fscs? I say we dont have an other choice but to do. But we hope no hidden discrimination between clients is intentionly created!

I see ETX hand in this, my surprise is that FSCS being the last resort of protection, could also allow such manipulations.

I will tell you something strange happened with me.
I logged in to the portal, I found myself must upload documents again.
So I called KPMG, she assured me its a verification process, and it may be normal.
She told me upload the documents fast to be included in the second tranche, when I asked when it will be, she answered for sure not in May. maybe in June.
So nothing new, same circles, same answers, Result: No Money

Did you receive any email that ask you to upload documents again before you call? I didn't, so I just did nothing now.
Just now I logged in the claim portal again, and I found that the web page changed back to the status when I uploaded my documents on April.
It looks OK now.

No, I didn't receive any email, though I emailed them twice by evidence & screenshot, but the surprise I got no reply.

We are, outside Euro Zone, felt discriminated by KPMG and FSCS. Better NOT to use FSCS guarantee again. FIND Ausi or NZ or others.
