Hi
I am considering managing some funds for a friend and, due to the amount in question, have decided that Alpari would seem to be the best fit for my requirements. I use MT4 at the moment, and therefore there are obvious advantages in continuing with it. I have noticed, however, that the commission rates are lower on the Direct accounts, and also that the Alpari Direct platform utilizes Currenex. The MT4 platform also has a higher minimum trade size(3 lots) for some reason.
Has anybody on here ever considered the relative merits before?
Thanks.

i would be wary and hesitant of using something other than mt4, stick to what you know, but if you go direct let us know how it goes, i to have been reading about this via alparis site.

I've been in touch with Alpari UK last week Dec 2010 and although their website still states that the min is 3 standard lots for the MT4 ECN account this is being reduced shortly to 1 std lot as the minimum and you can trade then in increments of $10,000 (or mini lots). So for example you can open a position with say, 1.3 or 2 4 standard lots.

I called them for this info and you should do the same as things do change.....hope this helps
