Loss of connection can happen - did u restart the application? Did you check webtrader or MT4? My Mt4 accounts are up and running.

I think that MT5 runs on total different servers, they are not the same as MT4, but I am no expert in IT.
I have allready restarted my comp, no difference.
Next step is to restart MT5, a new upload from their web, if this does not fix it, then I am writting emails....

i have the same problem

i talk with them and they are saying that the server are live again, but i still have the same problem...

Thank you for sharing that info.
I tried almost everything but calling or writting them, I even instal MT5 again.

Still not working.

I must say, that in those last days, it is really something going on with their servers and connection. Names of servers are totally different as usual and there is lots of disconnections, but they were always right back. Not today.

If MT4 is working, which is, then there is IT problem on MT5.. I was a bit worried they went into some crazy insolvency, like Alpari did once ...you just never know... and I was there at the time.

more than 2h without mt5

This is some serious shit going on... already 2 hours...
Once there was just for 1 second connection and it was lost again, so they are doing something there...
But, it is strange...

someone already talked with them? they said that there was a problem with the mt5 server they were trying to reboot then, but 2 hours of this...also they are trying to give me some excuses...

this resumes to bad service quality. 2h during a trading day is a lot

I am with them more then 2 years now, since Alpari went bust.
It never happened something so long long long on MT5 to be without connection, as long as recall. At longest it was something about 30 minutes, maybe.

If this is an only and one time event, then be it, and I am not saying it is ok, I am far from it to be ok with this...if this is now the future, well then...do I have to write it?

Now, I am really disappointed with them, although everything else about them was great, at least for me, without any trouble at all, until now.

they told me the same thing, but i don't admit this type of problems almost 3h without mt5, they should have a backup for this situations. i became to the conclusion that i will close the account with then, i can not imagine another day like this, 3h without platform ....

Why does ActivTrade require you to give them the name of your employer in the sign up process??? You don't even have to give that when you open a bank account....so wtf??

Of course they are going to say for "...security screening blahblah.."..but most FCA brokers don't do that. They'll ask for YOUR details, source of funds, etc...but why bring in your company into this when 80% of brokers don't???

Won't go there till they remove that ridiculous over-intrusive policy....

No broker is perfect

But why i am sticking with them because fast withdrawals even when I am on the other side of the planet.

How fast .... ~ about 12 hours to my bank from the time I click withdraw. Sometimes need some clarification need one more day. But that's already faster than other brokers I had with the standard responses ' blah blah 3 - 5 working days excuse'

For retail accounts , they are so far my best.

Hi,

I have got live accounts with them for years now, first MT4 and now MT5 and from my experience all I can say is they don't play with the magic widening spread button that MetaQuotes provides with their brokers module. No S/L hunting observed sometimes even to a fifth decimal difference. There are not many brokers who are fair play and are happy to live with the regular and very reasonable bid/offer spreads they are charging.
In addition their staff is performing a great and speedy support service (many thanks to the French Desk).
My only regret is that their servers are on European time and therefore I can't really use their chart for daily and even H4 time frames, as they are full of distorsions (particularly with Ichimoku) compared to what the majority of the market is looking at: GMT-5 or N.Y. time based charts with 5 daily candlesticks per week.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure...
