I have a friend who has an account with Activtrades in Italy and another friend who has an account with them in France, does anybody know if this affected only the UK or also clients from other countries?

Probably all. I don't think that their "branches" in Italy, France (or Germany or any other country) are having their own customer relationships.

I believe the 0.1 off spread is quite a good move from a business point of view. I actually don't care very much about the hack. Yeah well, it shouldn't happen just like every other information breach that happened with other businesses over the last few years, including the numerous hacks of POS devices, credit card companies, telephone or internet providers ... I have two bank accounts anyway, one for the outside world run at a minimum and one for any excess money.

Hello Everybody,

during the last week, the Activtrades MT5-server ignored two of my trailing S/L - fortunately on a demo account. At first, I wasn't sure if it had been my fault, but today it happened again. I called them and they committed, that there might be server problems - which might affect live accounts, too! I don't know, if it's a world wide problem or only Germany / Europe is affected, but be careful... They said only MT5, not MT4.
Best regards, blackfriday

What ya mean exactly with "ignored"? Simply slippage?

I have live accounts on their Activtrades-4 and Activtrades-5 server and can confirm severe server issues. First they appeared on their Activtrades-4 Server with tickdata gaps leading to incalculable slippage (i have picture and video proof). Switched to their ActivTrades-5 but still receive bad order execution compared to identical trades on real ECN brokers.

However, support is acting professional and compensates in case of complaining.

Of course, i can.

It is a void of tickdata. Lasts between 10 and 30 seconds. In dependence of the price change within the absence of tick data the gap will be more or less visible. Trading under these circumstances is simply too dangerous.

Please excuse the bad quality - i used my smartphone instead of a screenshot.

I see. What did activtrades have to say about this? As to the cause or possible fix?

Unfortunately no real useful information on the cause and/or solution of the issue, although they compensated the slippage induced losses.
To me it seems as if the server reached its limit and simply can't keep the level of tickdatafeed. Especially in volatile times, where the volume of orders exceeds a certain level. I have stopped trading on their ActiveTrades-4 server a week ago. Their ActivTrades-5 seems to work better, only had one case of massive slippage (above 5 pips) in the last week.

As i have the same strategy on two other real ECN brokers meanwhile i am going to continue verifying the results.

No, I don't mean slippage. S/L had been simply ignored, the price has moved around S/L, then more than 20 pips below, before I realized what has happened. Then I closed the trade manually. By Friday, it happened 3 times - fortunately on a demo account. Activtrades said, there had been problems with their latest software update and they would try to fix it this weekend. Unfortunately I don't have a screenshot.
Best regards, blackfriday

Guys have you tried to change the server from the bottom right on the mt4. I have about 10 on the list.
