I have tried some scalping EAs on Activtrades demo servers only and can say there is a problem with too frequent modifications of TP, SL and order executions. If for example the EA changes dynamically the SL or TP too frequently or in a very small pips from one another broker will block some of the actions. Have this in mind.

Hi,

I am having constant problems with my demo accounts. Since two weeks ago, a lot of disconnections. I am using demo accounts in order to test strategies, and I cannot be able to trade three days in a row normally since October 5th.

They say that real accounts do not have any problems, but demo accounts do.....and in what kind of accounts is supposed to test your strategies. If you will trade with ActivTrades, obviously, you want to try strategies in a demo account of the same broker....but servers (demo) are not working correctly.

And one more question.
Other brokers have different platforms, web, deskstations, and so.
If MT4 or MT5 do not work correctly, what other platform could you use in order to follow your trades....or is the only way trade with them?

Confirmed - next to that, they had problems with their webinterface two days ago.

Only positive point is: the live accounts are not affected (until now).

This is not true, I assure you there have been lots of problems with their live accounts also it is just that some representatives treat you differently, some are very nice and try to help you with your problem and others are arrogant and just want to get rid of you so they refuse to listen to what you have to say.

Yes, I experienced an issue with my demo account recently. But I have to say the support team were very helpful in explaining the situation and reassuring me that it was just some maintenance work. I haven’t had any problems since and the support team called me to check everything was going okay! I’ll continue to trade with them.

Situation got worse - their live-servers were not available for approximately 40 minutes now!

Connection established again. Anyone else noticed?

Same issue. Spoke to them a few minutes ago, apparently they're having issues with 2 servers after an installation of security updates. They told me the problem should be resolved later this day. We'll see ... I use multiple brokers anyway but if they keep on having issues I'll replace them.

The android app works just fine by the way in case you want to monitor your trades.

Thanks for this solid advice!

Interesting by the way how different their support is informed obviously. The one i had on the phone didn't know anything and even stated the servers would be available.
Good to know, that my sense was right and the problem was on their end. I should start looking for alternatives..

The same here. No Connection to the Demo Accounts Server at the moment.
The third time in the last 6 weeks. Before i never ever had this problems. ?!?!


Live Servers, everything is ok. I sent them a email.


We will see.
How to opt out annoying user signatures ??

which ones?

london capital group i know is one of them you are probably talking about but they dont offer negative protection and their swaps are ...well not very nice for a position trader like me

I am not sure in which way this explains the recent problems, but i just got a mail from ActivTrades informing the customers that they are victim of a cyber-attack at the end of last week.

Of course they stated that no financial data have been leaked, for personal details (mail, name ..) they however cannot exclude this.

edit: after a call it seems to be the mailadress only (and even this is not sure). Next to that they reduced their spreads for ALL pairs by 0.1 pips until the end of the year as an excuse! (just checked and confirmed)

I confirm.
I also received the same email ....
Friday they have blocked connections with servers.
I don't know what to think...
But I think that email tells only the half truth
The best thing that can happen to you is to find out where you're wrong.

So to round it up, after the FXCM hack and the DDoS on the bridge provider OneZero it's now ActivTrades which is/was under attack.
