pleasae put an alarm when a new line is made and maybe if u can an option so the lines would not be so long maybe we can select how much longer the line should be thx in advance

If you're using lines instead of boxes (PlotBoxes = false), you can have the lines stop at the rightmost candle by setting FilledBoxes = false (that is a new feature in version 1.06). Then you can extend the lines as far as you wish, using HistogramSize. Please read the instruction document for more information.

I was asked by PM to provide an indy that plots last week's O, H, L, C and median.

It's attached. If you press F8 and check 'Show object descriptions' ON, you'll see the descriptions at the left of each line.

Release Notes for v 1.07:

1. Parameters PlotBoxes and FilledBoxes have now been replaced with new parameters LineWidth and Background. See the instructions document for more info. This also means that you may need to re-save any relevant MT4 templates. If you're not willing to do this, then DON'T download the upgrade.

2. New parameter UniqueID. See the instructions document for more info.

CAN YOU please modify the indicator so after the sr is found to be plotted jus a few candles maybe 5.. the line ...if u have time it will be a great help thank you

You can now set the length of the band or line, from its starting point. See the instructions document, and download v1.08 of the indicator, from post #1.

Very nice of you to turn RecentSR v1.08 into trend lines with auto description available in the trend line....


This is very useful for SR traders that use ultimate high/lows.

One thing I have learned from this indicator is that H1 fractal highs/lows that are formed during the Asian session 00:00GMT to 08:00GMT, are much more likely to be ignored by the market during any trading session. While trading during the Asian session the SRs formed during the previous london/NY sessions are much more useful.

Just wondering is there a way of stopping the RecentSR refreshing every time you change TFs?
Cause it re-draws the SR lines that I deleted each time TFs are changed.

Edit:
Just realised a different way of achieving what I was thinking. To keep the lines (rectangles / trendlines) created, would it possible to have the indicator have an option to NOT delete the objects when removing the indicator.

That way when I need to update the SR lines I could just re-apply the template.

It would seem that MT4 does a complete refresh whenever currency pair or timeframe is changed. This means that all indys are redrawn; exactly what gets redrawn depends on how they are coded. In programming terms, all of the code in the init() section is re-executed.

I'ts easy enough to make the deletion of the lines an option, when the indy is removed. I've posted that modification as v1.09. See post #1.

Hi David,

Thanks for that, cause when mapping out the 4 hour / daily / weekly / monthly SR, on the 5M chart you don't know (with ease) which SR have lost their strength unless you are on the said TF's chart. So now that the indicator can be deleted before I change TF it will make things a lot easier to work with.

This truly is a fantastic SR indicator.
