Many versions of this very old indicator going around, updated by Pips4Life also.

You can use the same indicator multiple times by changing the Unique ID's

edit: if we all agree that the market is fractal, that would conclude that BOS could happen on any conceivable time frame

edit2: it would also be dependent on your main time frame that you trade

You always set your chart up to most clearly see based on how you trade. BOS would require the chart to be zoomed out more.

As an avid chart reader, chart lover, and market mechanics observer, who could not enjoy seeing what I also saw here after just getting back from my morning outing.
(while letting the market do what it does best in between )


I'll call it BOJ-Day lol. For them and their merry followers .

Back again for pre-Franky to see what the EUR & GBP responses will be, ahead of the USD response (when I hit the sack later, of course).

It didn't make a profitable Long but I got two good shorts out of it, even if the first short ( second arrow) made me sweat as it neared the upper channel
Done for the day. Now watching " The "Repair Shop" on tv.

Thanks for your charts and info.

Just regarding your chart are you saying the news movement up was predictable? If so how? And how do you see the move back down on yen pairs? They came back to daily opens etc particularly on AJ. An objective trend following system could have caught a good move from the high back to the open. But, and it's a big but. It never always comes back to the open, just when you think it won't because that's how FX rolls.

No, not predictable by me, as an immediate directional movement based on news or such.

Just that in my observations over time, and with traders I talk to about such things, what I can say imho is that the market price is always going to a somewhere,
a target, once it is in motion.

How (and when) price reaches those targets is a variable in both time and movement and which I (can only) understand in my own head as being based on the "current aggregate" of trade orders in play at any one time that has to be addressed by whoever is holding the opposite sides of the trades in play.

This has price moving up/down/sideways, and maybe appearing random in its activity, while always having an intention of destination to be reached, once 'in play'.

This is a subject of much conjecture, of course. All we can do is look at the charts and see the "where" of where price begins and the "where" of where it ends.

And for me, just trying to extract some pips in the session availability I am trading in, during the larger move.

We can look at the GJ chart today and compare it to the one in the post you have quoted. This does not look random to me on completion, but again I do not have it as predictable before the event.

What precipitates the moves is an unknown to me as retail. Everything, incl tick-volume and indicators, seem to follow it, afterwards, including me when I can

I do love the charts afterwards tho lol, which incourages me to continue those assessments in my way.
