Need some help. I have searched through the thread regarding being able to pre-select a direction for each pair. Aesame has addressed the request in the beginning pages of thread but I'm guessing it may take a little more that a quick addition to the code. So I'm curious if anyone has created a simple PIN that you could manually set to Long or Short based on the direction you only want the pair to trade in as a temporary work around until that option could be made into the dashboard.

Ahoy, boys and girs! Here is yet another tool for EAX Basketeers to play - BasketChart ATR MTF indi. This time no PIN function, but only visual help to see the overal volatility of indexes/baskets created with BasketChart 1.02g version. In 1.02g dash there is a possibility to see previous ATR of a selected period and also current ATR vs CurrentRange and calculate Ratio of it.

Now with this tool you will be able to see historical ATR values compared to actual range of BC candles over a selected period and this tiny tool is also an MTF version.

Worth to say that in order to get correct ATR values the basketchart must consist of positive weight pairs only such as C5, C8, C12, C14 baskets (it's because having negative pairs in BasketChart, their ATR value will be subtracted from the overall basket ATR value instead of summed up as it happens with positive weight pairs, thus values will not be exact). Hope it will help to some of you plan your SL and TP in pips for your baskets using ATR values from preferred timeframes.

I've been trying a new setting and after getting some results I decided to code it for mt5 so I can backtest it for multiple currencies so I don't have to wait another full year to make decisions. Problem is I need the exact math logic that CSM/RT (that is used in the SOH D filter, if I'm not mistaken) uses so I can implement it. If you can please point me to the right direction.

Yes. Paperclip not showing for me either. Seems ok on all other threads. I am also getting a page loading hang on my profile page which seems to relate to the trade explorers.

New findings again that I could not resist to share here! Next week I am going to test and watch in live market environment new version of ATR Ranges which I have called ATR Ranges HiLo. This is kind of dynamic ATR Ranges which depends on tradable period's High and Low that was formed and Candle direction.

For example suppose I want to trade daily fibo zones. I will set it to D1 and 10 average periods. Then what seems a very interesting to me is that for the starting point (zero zone aka Ivory color line) it takes Current Day's High price (not an open price as usually in ATR Ranges) and calculates fibo zones DOWN as usual ATR Ranges. These zones will be used for SELL entries as long as the condition of Close<Open (bearish candle) on D1 is satisfied.

If the condition is opposite, i.e. Close>Open and D1 is bullish, then ATR Ranges will be calculated UP from the formed Current Day's Low price forming new fibo zones for BUY entries and will be until there will remain bullish candle.

Not sure yet how will it work but I do hope it will bring some dynamics in responding to the ongoing price action. It will be easy to make a new version of ATR Ranges HiLo pin too (hope so). Here's how the screenshot of daily ATR Ranges HiLo looks like using ADR10 (have in mind that these are closed candles already. In a dynamic market these zones should vary):

Hey mate, sure, this is extremely good tool which will help in making decisions. I automated it taking M15 ATR values of last two weeks and set ATR stops of M15 period as well So as you may guess I have made a pin (took 15 mins to trim the code because as a basis was used ordinary ATR Ranges pin ).

So here I am uploading the test versions both for visual ATR Ranges HiLo indi and also CD+ATR_RangesHiLo_v1.00 pin.

Since some of this thread users know my extreme interest in the wonderful ATR indicator, I saw a need in writing a very simple ATR Ratio pin as a filter to allow/disallow trades. This filter is implemented in ATR_Ranges HiLo pin, but in there signals appear only when price is near ATR pivots, whereas this does not have limits of signaling.

Now, when the current range in particular asset's timeframe is exceeded, compared to that timeframe's ATR, most of the time it means it is not worth/not safe to enter a trade as price may retrace to its mean with a result of losing trade or extended drawdown (hence is formed wick of the candle). In order to find good timing this pin will help (and is already helping me) to avoid such untimely trades. It takes current range and divide by atr and the result is an ATR Ratio in percent. This result value cannot be exceeded by user set percentage value in Filter_TO setting. Filter_FROM is to set from what percentage to begin using this filter.

This pin will give only one direction signal - BUY which will mean that the trading is allowed and NONE meaning that the ATR was exceeded. So what is very important to note - this pin must be used only with Jagz's MUX (A)llow mode. I wrote about my problem of solving an ATR Ratio pin puzzle setup here in Jagz's thread and he gave an answer how to solve it. I do hope it will be useful to some of EAX users. Also feedback and improvement ideas are welcome. Cheers!
