the downward strength does not appear as strong as last night and it will be interesting to see what the New York open brings I would not be surprised if it rallied back to 800.

That was an emphatic rejection off the the 30m 200ema/sma on dax, both of which I have together @ 145. Potential support levels below today's CP are the new fib levels, which are now - 50% @ 054 61.8% @ 034 76.4% @ 008

hit and held on dax to the pip...so far...

The Dow is now down more than a 1000 points from the top. This could mean that it's time for a breather soon. The boys tend to like big swings in multiples of 250. 25650 does look like a potential bottom. If so, look for retrace to 26100ish before the big drop. EDIT: So another 100 points down, and the bottom seems to be in place. Rally tomorrow, dump on Monday? Twt. {image}

And now probably a retracement up tomorrow, but maybe first a visit to 25000. Twt.

Morning!

Potential resistance levels on Dax this morning are first of all the 61.8% plotted from the 10th May high @ 12,060 just below today's R1 pivot, and higher the 76.4% @119, which is on top of the H1 200sma on my charts. The H1 200ema is @ 092.
Immediately above, my 45m 200ema and 200sma are at 060, with R1 @ 071, and combined with the 61.8% fib, this is a potentially strong resistance level.

On the support side, all I really have right now is the CP level @ 11,948, with the 30 100sma also right on this level in a supporting position.

I'll update as and when things change.

15m 200ema has a strong confluence of potential support at around 980. Right now Dax has stopped at the 10m 100sma, so might get a bit of a pullback off of this, but I would expect lower levels than this....

CP broken, but it may still hold, though another leg down looking likely. How low? Anyone's guess, but the next level anyway for me is the 61.8% fib @ 905 if it breaks lower now. We've seen the highs for today though, I'm pretty certain of that.

Holy Moly, forget what I said about seeing the highs for the day, that was until Trump came along

Oh, and I was long the Dax as well, but had already closed it. Sod's law!

Joking aside though, Trump's tweets have become an occupational hazard for us traders, and he seems to get off on the impact he knows they have on the market. You just have to hope you're not caught on the wrong side of one, because not even a stop loss will help you out when the price moves like that

Morning.

Either the 61.8% fib or the 76.4 at 080 & 100 respectively may act as resistance on Dax if the price moves up on the London open. I don't have higher resistance levels than that for now, as it needs to break above the H1 200sma @ 12,100 first.

On the support side, the two most important fibs are sitting at key levels today, with the 61.8 @ 964, and the 76.4% on top of today's S1 pivot @ 11,925.

That 61.8 sure held well didn't it @ 080.

Support here anywhere from today's CP @ 028, which could be a strong level, down to the support levels I gave above. 12,000 also looks like a potential strong support level. ( 30m 200sma )

Dax stuck in this tight range atm between the 61.8 above and today's CP. No idea which way it'll break, if and when it does.

The 76.4% fib taken from the high on the 12th of May held the price yesterday, even though that spike broke it briefly. This fib is at 12,118 on Dax.

Above this , it's clear to rise up to 140 and beyond to today's R1 @ 198, though I also have some potential R @ around 170.
