Philip has been talking about continuous trend in 1hr trading. I don't understand what is meant by continuous trend and how to see it in the charts. Can someone also help me with the question I posted in #24779?

Please. Thanks

Hi Yvon,

Thanks for the email. But didn't quite cover the question. there was a lesson on Major MACD signal in his study. and one of the signal was trend continuous pattern. what is meant by that? continuous trend in the 1hr chart, i can't tell when it occurs? Thanks

you say gmt+2 for M.Nel: possible but I think he mentions gmt+0, 12:00hrs

I say gmt-5(my time here in Canada) for me: true but my trading platform is GMT+0.

so I guess that M. Nel platform is like mine, meaning GMT+0. so when he mentions 1200hrs it is based on 8:00hrs am opening NY session.

now if your platform provider is gmt+? then adjust timing accordingly.

then if you go to : http://www.forexfactory.com/
and adjust the proper time that set your region, then go down the page and take a look at "session" (bottom left) you will see sidney, tokyo, london , ny, session and there duration.- it looks to me that M. Nel picks up ny session to apply his System and see if there is a possible trade there.
have a nice day,
Yvon

TC(trend cont.) refer to the knowledge of "rythm" of the market, the motion. and the rules. If you can see the rythm, you should probably see a application of rules "making " a TC. then recognizing a possible trade.
I should get back to you about that.
the use of the 1hr is used as a "fine tune" entry.
M. Nel calls : the heart of the system...go take a look at it.
have a nice day,
Yvon

It is okay.. keep up the good work! Loss is part of the game.
I have learned the 4 Hour MACD strategy since 2009, start to use intensely in 2010 and get a job in the bank last year as forex dealer thanks to Mr. Philip Nel.

This strategy alone is enough to produce decent profit. I myself is not a fulltime trader. But, all I want to say is that the strategy worth your time and energy,

If the MACH move pass the zero line, does it mean the price to continue to go uptrend, if the price is already going upward?

your exemple of TC is not taken from the right Macd...

there is a video from Philip Nel called "Trading the signal" showing TC. I just don't remember where I took it. If you can find it it will surely help you identify TC from the right Macd set up.

but there is ample exemple from page 1 that are proper explanation.
