Trade only balanced currencies - EUR/USD. Similar sized fundamentals behind both currencies. The CAD is a joke, losing 40% against the dollar within a year.


Keeping lowrisk limits is essential. a 1 pip / 1 $ / 10,000 $ ratio will double your account within a year with very little risk, if you know what you're doing. Since Jan 1'st, I got already 33% and by any standard this should be enough profit for one year. I'll stop the EA at 40%.

Here it is. Like I said earlier, don't expect it to emulate my results. It runs only from 17-21 GMT, but when there's red news or I just feel it's going to be volatile NY, I stop it. That's why you should not expect to have same results as me, because this EA is only helping me not to sit in front of computer while I run grids, and the discretion part of it is big and decisive.

Well said Zef, my demo account is up 45% year to date with Low Risk A settings.

I started last week a real account with good results.

Why will you stop the EA at 40%?

LOL Found the same guy. Jonni strike again.

I already test this grid EA. Really nice result in 2 weeks, the 3rd weeks I increase the risk. And it cause the big DD. I should not be greedy though. Maybe keep the low risk. I could say is this EA is worth it, grid trading with fixed lot. Thank you radit for sharing the EA.
Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing.

I'll stop it because I'll set up a mixed model account with different risk profiles. As we will see a drop in volatility over the summer months (except during the UK referendum fiasco), I am confident I can apply this mixed risk model to a single account. Anyway, as a means to keep greed in check, I won't set targets more than 50% of the account itself for the year.

That's a uncomfortable comments anyway, but thanks for the inputs.
Yet we are still finding the best strategy on top of this. I can only suggest that the EA alone can't give you profit, but the strategy does. So far, I know that if we set at a lower lot size and target, it'll be always profitable about 100% yearly. But of course for some people it'll never be "acceptable" as they always set the bar too high.
I never guarantee you will be getting high profit with my EA anyway, and I never promised on it.

But really, appreciate for the inputs so far to improve this project.

I got it implemented on v2.0 beta before. But I haven't re-applied it as I'm actually planning to put on v2.0. And v2.0 seems too far for releasing, so I'll include in v1.12 probably, or on v1.11 that is released today.

The mechanism is not using comma separated, too messy. I did to read the vertical line, and this vertical line has to be in pair. Allow me to implement this in a short period (the code is there already).

While you feel that this interesting, I'm trying to figure out how to get out when got stucked. It seems still a genuine issue until today.

Were you expecting
LIMIT (you expect the price to go out of the grid then back to initial price and close profit) or
STOP (you expect the price to go out of the grid then keep trending and close profit)?
I assume you expect LIMIT.

You can set the Grid Step and Price Interval, and set the take profit accordingly such that it will close near the sell order. You can use the excel simulator on the EA download page to calculate how much profit when it reaches the sell order. That's all I can suggest.

Or another way, you can use Target Profit set to Target Based OR Min Profit Open Orders, and set Min Open Profit Orders = 2. But this has differences in terms of the mechanism. What it does is, it will close the cycle when it reaches Target Profit, or when at least 2 orders are in profit (even in $0 profit). So, when BUY executed and move down to SELL and execute the sell order, as soon as the SELL order is in profit (whether it's only $0) it will close all orders.

Up to you what to choose.

USDCAD is a damn enemy with LIMIT grid. I've got myself hard to find the right time to implement LIMIT, but it seems doesn't work. Can't find a good strategy for it. Probably I have to try using STOP instead in USDCAD.

That is something that I wanted to share as well. This current method is the one that I'm doing right now in Donation Box. I know that EURUSD is vulnerable, so with others. But I know something, I have tested on backtest on a period of 1 year, everything went well without interruption. So, the idea is to cut the risk by half or 1/3, then spread the risk across different profiles / set files to different pair.

As you can see on my Donation Box, is now running with 3 pairs, planning to add another one which is NZDJPY. So all 4 pairs, running at mostly different time, with lesser risk.
So now what to do if one of the pair getting stuck? As long as it's not heading an Interest Rate news, or some news that is really "shifting" the price level, we need to stop the cycle for other pairs, giving this running pair a room for it to close until it is really closed. Once this pair closed, then I can start cycle for others.

Thanks ZeF. It very steady growth. Please advise did you had any manual intervention for closing EA or closing trades.
