As promised before in my other thread, I would like to share my Grid EA.
Before continue to read, please spare your time to read the Frequently Asked Question (FAQ).

Basically, nothing new in this Grid EA, which is same as the other simple Grid EA written by other users in this forum. Probably you might wonder why I re-wrote the same thing and sharing it again. This because of one of the grid has gone into commercial section, and the other one was restricted for "red" users only. And it was hard for me if I would like to add more settings to the EA.

The simplest visualization for the method is as below.

There are 2 types of grid that is covered by this EA:
LIMIT orders - the EA will simply create orders as per the image above with LIMIT orders. The expectation is that you will get profit when the price moves somewhere then go back to the initial price when it was started.
STOP orders - the EA will simply create orders as per the image above with STOP orders. The expectation is that you will get profit when the price moves somewhere and keep continuing the trend.

Below are the screenshot of the parameters:

The above is for STOP orders.

Live account? Yes!

And for the final catch and most importantly, I will NEVER intend to SELL this EA for my own profit.
The settings attached below was for 5 digits broker, Tickmill - Classic account. Assuming $500 account starting with 0.01 lot.

Along with it, would like to inform that me and my family have started an initiative work (Tunas Bangsa Camp) by distributing books to some villages, a very remote location in Indonesia. Please take time to read the blog here: Tunas Bangsa Camp.

If you feel blessed using this EA (if you made some profits), I do really expect your donation. As of now, we are accepting donation. Please read the specifications here: Donation Criteria. We are accepting any of your books, either new or old (but still readable and in good condition). If you are planning to donate, please do take time to read the blog.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing as promised. The attachments are not opening though.
Its not the indicators. Its how you use them. The thought process is key!

That's what a Blown account looks like on grid backtest

That's the elusive super drawdown runaway trend situation that grid ea traders try to avoid

Still waiting on the parameters used so we all cane dive in with more understanding.

Yup but now i have tested it only for this month period since 1. May and its in profit ..
But for 1 month, 5 month or even 1 year period its always in huge profit since the last 2 trades are closed

Also the tester closes all trades wherever they stand at the end of the test so if there is a huge drawdown at that point it's going to show that loss on the end.

Run the tester for the last 1 or 2 days of your long test and put it in visual mode and you will be more able to pinpoint where that drawdown starts, and then set your long test end date before it.

Hi Radityo,
I have some question.

1. As for 4 digits broker the only variable that I need to change is these?
GridStepPoints=75 -> change to 7 or 8
CurrentPriceInterval=50 -> change to 5

is that right?is there another variable that I need to adjust?

2. What Timeframe do you suggest?

3. What minimum deposit (for 0.01 lots) do you suggest for live? ( I will try this minimum amount on demo first, so I can get the real picture )

And I promise I will donate to Tunas Bangsa once I make profit from this EA. I'm from Indonesia too

Cheers!
Green pips to you

The green dotted line is the orders that will be placed when you start the EA.

For LIMIT orders:
for top section, it will give you SELL LIMITS, while the below section will give you BUY LIMITS. The idea is, we are expecting the market to retract back to its initial price (red) when you start the cycle.

For STOP orders:
top section will give you BUY STOPS and below section will give you SELL STOPS. The idea is, we are expecting the market to keep continue the trend.

Basically you can try with $500 for 0.01, as I'm testing the same proportional value. I've started $1000 in demo with 0.02.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, the setting is for 5 digit broker, Tickmill Classic (spread usually between 1.3 to 2.1 pips).
