today is a bit weird movement on EURUSD.. maybe still on effect of yesterday Yellen speech, and got big bullish on USD Unemployment Claims,
and tonight also another Yellen's testifies...

I don't feel comfortable trading for today, aft waited till noe. Turn it off for GTLIMIT guys, for today also.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

The EURCHF demo went bust after 3 days of testing, due to the news impact yesterday.
Will open new demo next week with your recommended setting :

You make it the same like LIMTEURUSD2, and change stop time from 13:00 SGT to 10:00 SGT would've been doing better.

Funny thing is, the set file for EURCHF is working well for EURGBP and USDJPY

Hi Radityo, could you explain how the Max Cycle count works?

I suppose the count of cycles starts with the new session, but I'm not sure because my expert indicates "cycle 2 of 2" when during this session there was 1 cycle only.

May be the count works on a daily basis? In fact, summing the cycle of last night with this evening cycle I have 2 cycles in the same day, but in different sessions. I hope it's clear.

Thankfully, I did not trade any more after that....and it turned out you were right!

I will change my strategy so far "abnormal breakout" will not trigger limit EA.

Today's plan....
The trend was reversed!

So this is what happened when i let the EA's trade yesterday :-

GT1000REBOOT suffered and closed in loss whereas the rest actually managed to come out in profit.
Luckily I disabled trading via the real account which runs GT1000REBOOT *phew*

Considering the importance of today's NFP and the fact that EU had a massive bull session yesterday. Turning off the EAs for the week! The bull session could be a 'dip' readying for the NFP and might cause EU to resume a downtrend. We trade range markets and not trend markets.

For some people, toilet is a place to drop SH*T.
But a lot of great idea popped out in my mind inside that small room, like a minute ago.

I think I have found the HOLYGRAIL behind STOP orders!
I may need to finalize it, write it in the notes, and draw some pros and cons. Hopefully there'll be no cons, but I can't think of one right now.

It is totally mechanic and logical, nothing to do with indicators and detecting trends. And a lot of testing I think. If this is proven better than conventional STOP orders, I may have to park it under 2.0 which I may have to start soon.
The idea came just now, after reading all posts, and inputs from all of you, plus the other EA I found it free and good but need enhancements.

The EA is getting more and more complex, but innovation never stops! Wish me luck!

I haven't test it for a while. But let me do quick test sometime today.

I did some backtests using GTLimit v.18 and its set file for EURUSD.
Data is from histdata and I shifted it to GMT+2 because Robo's Marketwatch is GMT+2.
It went well except some dates as in excel file attached.
On those dates the account blew and I tried to figure it out events that caused it.
However, I don't know what is the culprit for 14-15 Jan.
What do you think caused it guys?

Hi radityo,

I have an idea to start the stop order with either v.17 or v.18. Time to trade will be london/new york open or few minutes before red news. Let say i start with 3 buy stop and 3 sell stop orders with 100 grid points. Unfortunately, the price up open 1 buy stop then price retrace back and open a sell order, ranging condition continues till no more pending orders either buy or stop. In this case, account will be in float loss by about 60pips. Will leave this float alone.

Then we repeat the above process on next day london/new york open or red news with 3 buy and sell stop orders. This round we aim for 60pips profit, so we could close it with breakeven (this round profit + 60pips - previous round of float loss 60pips= breakeven.

I am trying the above with the v.17 with 2 charts with 2 EA with different magic number. The second EA simulate the new cycle has weird behavior, EA keeps open orders and delete orders. Am i do something wrong? Or could you guide me how to do this testing? Many thanks
