yes, 5 is "Target Based OR Min Profit Open Orders". What is option 3? are you referring to the same Close Type?

stop is for trending
and limit is for ranging.

Detecting ranging market is as simple as looking at calendar (on FF) and avoid red news over there. Most ranging time would be 01am - 06am Singapore Time, usually.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

If you look to GTL_EU2.set.txt you'll see that Close Type is settled to 5, and 5 means "Target Based OR Min Profit Open Orders".

This is why my results were different from yours in the last session.

If you refer to my post earlier when releasing v1.8, you'll understand why I changed it to "Target Based OR Min Profit Open Orders".
If you use set produced by v1.7 with v1.8, definitely will have a different result, since the logic is different. Please read at: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...89#post8589589.

In v1.7, there's a bug related to Middle Point. Read my comments below quoted from that post.

So, in short, now, I made this "bug" as a feature, as a new Close Type with a new name "Min Profit Open Orders" which sits on no.5. While the old settings, will refer to "Target Based OR Middle Point". Now this Middle Point will close in the middle of the grid.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Why do you still have open order after 6 am (SGT)?
Actually this also happens to me and I thought it is a bug in my MT4.
Is the system supposed to be like this?

That is date of the order executed. It can be anytime.
Now if you look closely, at the same day 1 dec 2015, there are other orders with the same lot size, am I right?
Now, these orders, what was the earliest open time? In my browser is 4:58. And that was when the first order in the cycle turned to open order. Will it stop opening other order when passing the stop time? No, it won't. That is by design.

Now, since we know that 4:58 is the earliest cycle, it was still in the timerange. So, cycle was started at that time.
Stop Time was never designed to stop the orders from executing, or stopping everything. Stop was designed to stop taking new cycle only. So if by 06:00am I'm still have pending orders, EA will continue to run until the current cycle reached the close condition. If it is necessary to open new orders (by Auto-Expand settings), it will open even outside the timerange. Once the current cycle is closed, then EA will no longer open new cycle.

Hope you get the idea.

do you even test it and see the behaviour in back testing environment ? or simulate some cases with the EA.

lucky Radit is patient enough to explain it again bro..

anyway Radit, have some question or suggestion with EA for improvement.

Let say i have my grid already in profit, say 3 limit sell open, and now PA in grid position 2 go to 1 . So grid 3 and 2 in profit. If i want to secure my profit by closing manualy grid 3 and 2, would it be nice if can reopen again by EA the limit sell on the grid. So without closing all position, grid will recreate again the limit pending order.

So when PA moves up again, grid will hit again.

because sometimes i think need to secure profit in tables, but i want the grid still running. if i close it manualy grid level 2 and 3, while level 1 still open loss, if i manual put limit on level 2 and 3, EA not manage it for me.

I think of some button to manual put the limit order, but with the magic number EA handle so the trade still managed by EA.

ANd this is for the one who monitoring the trade while active for sure.

There is no bug in your EA,it was tested in many situations....

But there is one function for limit mode which i'm confused....

At EA end time, force close orders if not opened.

This fuction will break the cycle whatever your are in profit or not...

It is something worth to try, but we need to work on the details.
What I can do is to apply the logic in the timerange. If it is outside, you'll have to manage it manually.
OR
we can put a button over there for EA to close only the profit orders and refill the previously closed orders with new Limit orders.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

"force close orders if not opened" ► only force close the cycle if all order still in pending orders. So, at this point, no profit nor loss. It will just delete all pending orders.

ah yes, better , close profit only button, and then auto refill the closed grid level.

so no need to close manualy.

and here are my today, opened 3 grid level and back to start point.

i still using 1.7

Although we have many important data today, i think the market will be ranging from 1.0557-1.0689.

This is NFP week, usually no real breakout until friday 20:30.....

Hi,
The December may be very volatile for trades due to many high impact news release.

Volatility expected through this month because December marks the single biggest month in monetary policy decisions all year.

Starting on Thursday, 3rd is the ECB, where Draghi will announce the outcome of the Governing Council’s “re-examination” of QE. The market is already pricing a 10 basis point cut to the deposit rate and an expansion of QE, however if Draghi over-delivers then there will be plenty more downside in the euro.

In response to the ECB’s further easing, an in order to keep the EURCHF rate within desirable range, the SNB is expected to follow up with monetary easing on December 10.

During the early Asian session on the 10th, the RBNZ has their monetary policy meeting where there is approximately a 50% chance they will cut rates again.

Another huge event is the Fed rate decision on the 16th where the Fed Fund futures market is implying a nearly 80% of the first rate hike since 2006.

The next fortnight should see some volatility in FX before the action quietens down over the Christmas/New Year period.

May I request Radityo for timely messages to members for using LIMIT and STOP orders accordingly to gain during December.

Could you detail out on how exactly you kick off the STOP trades?
Basically :-
(1) What you look for in the charts
(2) Point at which you trigger the EA
(3) Set file used for the EA.

Interesting to see your usage of stops in trading but I am still confused on your analysis based on Fib levels. Fib levels are drawn based on personal experience so its a bit difficult to exactly see what you see (if you get what i mean). Kudos on the pips!

Folks - Madam Yellen is to talk tonight and as always, better be safe than sorry. Switching off the EAs from my end.
Thursday is also a bit scary considering ECB's QE examination, Draghi's comment could start a trend in the euro pairs so based on that, might or might allow the EA to run.
