Thanks for the backtest Igotaplan, but have you tried it only to open during London sessions etc? or does a backtest not work well for this? It would be interesting to see if we can create this test under the ideal conditions the system might enjoy....be great to be able to test the new version soon for backtesting using my tickstory account for 99% backtest data.

Fortunately, waiting a few minutes, the price went down, and i won my target profit.

Can somebody help me to protect my account from this situation?

Or your opinion of these settings? Maybe better settings?

It's posible to fix stop loss by trade? For example, if i have 3 buy opened and 4 sell, and the price goes down. I want to close the first "buy" with 200 eur lossing, for example. Not all trades.

I don't know if I'm explaining myself well.

Then on that case we need to define Target Buy, and Target Sell.
Then let us say:

  1. the price moves up until 4 buys opened, 1 pending buy and 5 pending sells still not opened, total orders are 10.
  2. Let us assume, since the price moving up and Target Buy is reached then EA will close all opened buys, so 1 pending buy and 5 pending sells still not opened and also 4 opened buys is closed now. Total orders are now 6.
  3. Then the price moves down until 3 sells opened, 1 pending buy and 2 pending sells still not opened. Total orders still 6.
  4. Let us assume at this position, Target Sell is not reached.
  5. Then the price moving up again drastically, 1 pending buy is now opened. Then you'll end up in floating open orders.
  6. If the price is not correcting, your total loss will get bigger and bigger since the total BUY and SELL is imbalance (1 buy and 3 opened sells out of 5 sells).

In that case how will correct the situation?
The idea seems good but I feel this situation is making the opened orders more insecure when it is not trending.

If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Sure i will, in fact in the setup are in the strategy tester. But i am still doing a lot of backtests. Im not 100% happy with the settings.
I will try to come up with a setup this week, i will share and than we can start a demo testing.

It's difficult in a market without trend.

Now, similar situation at this time.

3 buy and 5 sell opened.

Maybe increasing CurrentPriceInterval...

I tried to backtesting many times but never succeed. In the journals tab always show this error: "TestGenerator: unmatched data error (volume limit 129334 at 2015.07.02 00:00 exceeded)"
I already download from MT4 data center, tried test with lower timeframe etc. but always end up with that error. Never open any orders, and not showing reports nor graph.
Do you know to solve this issue?

I think there are 2 options to solve your problem:

1) Increase the timeframe you are using to do the backtest, anything above M15 should be fine?

2) Tools - Options - Charts - Increase "Max bars in history"

Hi, so it is my first day of forward testing this EA,

I have the standard GTSTOP set on EURUSD - starting balance $100. I have the same setup running on 2 difference clients (2 different brokers) on my VPS

My one setup is with Tickmill and the other with IC Markets.

I started both EA's at the same time this morning, as soon as the Tickmill demo server came back online.

Even though the setups are identical - the results are drastically different:

On tickmill, I have closed trades resulting in 1.75% profits, and current open trades representing 42.12% floating loss!

On IC Markets I have closed trades representing 21.01% profits, and current open trades representing 10.47% floating loss!

Is it normal to have such a drastic difference with the same setup on different brokers? Both accounts are ECN accounts with 1:500 leverage.

Are those accounts demo?
My Tickmill demo accounts didnt start trading/updating before this morning....i think they had some errors at market openings.

Yes both accounts are demo. Yup saw the downtime on Tickmill demo, but I started both EA's at the same time when Tickmill came online again (about 6am GMT).

Hi Vlad,
These differences apparently is quite normal I would say. As I have pointed out in previous post, even the same broker will also have different result as it maybe because of the starting time factor. That's why I have emphasized over this thread, to test and test and test if you want to start trading with this EA. Moreover, it will be good if you have multiple different profitable set file with different style, like one with limit, the others with stop for example.
You need to look not just simply spreads and leverage, but other factors like stop out level and margin call level, execution time, execution type, even spreads when it is on high impact news, then even the same pair like EURUSD will have a bit (verry small) different character from one broker to another. This is the factors that sometimes people never seen this, although actually broker will make the price exactly the same with market conditions but it can't be exactly 100%.
My suggestion is to keep observing what would be the best setting for broker A and then check again for broker B...so on and so forth... Tweaking the settings a little bit would help.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Just shows you how important it is to choose the correct broker for the strategy you are using!

I will continue to test the 2 brokers together and see what the performance is like over a few weeks.

Vlad,
I have observed noticeable difference between account types even on the same broker (ecn vs regular - tickmill). The ecn hits the target faster and closes, while the regular doesn't close and might get"stuck" in some situations...while the other continues and makes more trades. It is dependent on spread and possible slippage. This is one scenario when you have a change in direction. Keep in mind, the ecn you will have to pay commission afterwards, so profitability may not be that different. Just my 2 cents :-)

i was foward test in 4 account demo(2 acc Tickmill and 2 acc Roboforex procent) with churcut seting in pair EurUsd abaout 3 week and have good result. i get result in 4 acc for 20% - 50% till today. Now i want to use pair gold. can you help me to have good seting for Gold? thanks

btw, someday i will use tickmill, because now they give rebate $4,5/lot (classic acc). but for now, i must be patience, because dont have $1000 - $5000 to deposit. :'(
early, i will use real acc in roboforex pro cent first. because my foward test is promising.
