Radityo, how about set a close type option for when a number of buys and sells are triggered? Different from close when all orders are triggered.
For exemple when i get 15 sells and 15 buys i let it run until the 30th sell(or buy) and stop. (in loss) I know that the market can keep going up and cycle in profit but it could go down again and if it does until the 30th buy the loss would be to high for me. So stop with all orders are not good. I have experienced that when a certain number of buys or sells are triggered the risk became to big for me and i would like to get out.

Stop loss is no good for me either because I am stoping a a less lost situation.

Every time i test it with a stop loss the system was not profitable on the long run and with this feature i could test and find a good buy/sell stop situation for good profit on a long run.

I am doing this manually in one of my test accounts. But manually sometimes i am not in front of the computer to do it and sometimes i do not stop hoping for the market to keep moving (human eheh) and sometimes it don't And if it's on the system we can perform backtests to find a good buy/sell ratio.

Sometimes is better to get off the grid with little loss and star a fresh one profiting than wait maybe days for the grid cycle in profit. Sometimes not eheheh
What i am trying to figure out is a way to make this system safe on a long run cutting down the risks.
Is this hard to implement?

Sorry if too complicated, english is not my birth language but ask if any doubt.

I'm very sorry for your loss. But have you tested it on demo account?
I think that is the most important factor. I'm not well aware of European Futures CFD, hence I can't give you any advice.

But what I can tell you is, each pair in forex, each trading instrument, will have its own characteristics. We can't apply the same settings of EUR/USD to XAU/USD, and can't apply the same to Futures as well. Now, what we need to do, is to find the characteristics of the European Futures CFD, and find out how to beat them.

Here's a little guide to find out the characteristics:

  1. Look for the "wave" movements, how big is the wave movement, how long does it stay over there.
  2. How big is the spreads
  3. What are the minimum lot size and lot step (sometimes in futures, they would've set the lot step to 0.1, not 0.01 as the standard)
  4. What is the leverage. Although the broker may said leverage is 1:500, but you need to take care and see a little note, that for futures and commodities will have a different leverage.
  5. Recalculate the grid step, lot size, and target.


Then, you need to do it on demo first, at least 3 months. Why?
Because you need to identify the risk and check whether it works properly for you.
Here's the main rule:

  1. Test on demo for 3 months forward testing (say starting today after you recalculate the grid step, lot size and target).
  2. If in any case you feel that the sizing is not correct, or you need to minimize it, then do it. Again once you change your settings, you need to re-start your testing again and do it for at least 3 months.

If you feel fine after demo, then run it on live account.

You see, I feel fine if I want to run EA on live account, but only for EUR/USD. For other pairs, I will have to wait and follow the same procedures.
Note: Not the EA that will give you the profits, but the settings does.

But what if the current price doesn't move in your favour?
Your limit orders will stuck up or even got a worse loss? Limit orders is best when the market is not moving much, and stop orders is best when the market is trending. And in this case, you expect market to have both.

I can make that, shouldn't be an issue for me. But, ..... we can discuss the "but" in PM.

you can check on this kind of workaround first before checking on "but" terms....

To be frank, your english is quite good.
But yes, I admit that public speaking is a skill that not everybody is good at it, even myself.

So do you want the orders to be closed when a certain number of buys and sells are triggered? But it has to be same between buys and sells. So if I put 1 more parameter, if it reaches 5 (5 buys and 5 sells), then it will close all orders. Am I right?

This shouldn't be too hard.

Hey Radityo,

Maybe for this Friday, other brokerages have done this...but for Exness it is a policy...so its every Friday they do this. So, their higher leverage options work only if you trade and close all by Friday...if not, you get a nice surprise in terms of margin requirement when you go from ex. 1000:1 to 200:1.

Yes, correct. Since they have announce it earlier I think. https://www.exness.com/news/article/...r_the_weekends. So from regulatory perspective, should be ok. Only thing is whether we are OK to accept their regulation.
If you ask me to code/fix your EA... it's probably not for free...

Indeed. The grid could settings could be done to accommodate lower leverage....I just opened a demo with Tickmill to test and dropped Exness demo for now.
Just wondering, does anyone here have a live account with Tickmill? Any problems? Easy to take money out?

Tickmill having no issues. I withdrew many times, deposit many times to them.

Not the same. The same the EA already can close. for exemple if i set only 5 orders fixed i can set close when all orders are triggered and its done.

The same number of buys and sells the EA will close in the worse moment, when loss is bigger.

I want it to close with different numbers of orders. For exemple when 30 is triggered (no matter how many was triggered on the other side)
The reason is that, in that exemple, when the system triggers 30 orders on any side the risks became to big since it grows exponential, but we will stop when the loss are reducing. (obviously i am talking about stop orders).
In that exemple i have backtested that it's not to often that the 30th order is triggered but when it does, a few times it cycle in profit, but another few the account blew.
My thoughts are that if i take the few losses, do not risk the account to blow and keep it cycling, in the long run i will be profitable. And with that feature on the EA we could backtest to find a good setup to maximize the profits.
I guess you can set an option for close by threshold? (in opposite of recreation by threshold)

Good trading to everybody.
I saw this thread by chance and I have been very favorably intrigued by the constructing atmosphere that is around, by the human values of Radityo and the charity he is running, by the EA with its interesting first results.
I read the first 10 page and the last 20, I need more time to read the rest and mostly to understand everything, as I am perfectly ignorant about grid systems, even if I use Ilean regularly. I will try to give my modest contribution as much as I can.

I tried to put the EA on a demo Roboforex, EURUSD 15' with the setting suggested, but...
1.10725 is the center, then the EA made open orders starting from 1.13896 up and from 1.0757 down.

Far away from actual price and no orders were triggered. What did I do wrong?
Order count: 5. Grid step: 25.
