Thank you for your analysis but i am afraid it seems you are tring to use MTF TDI in backtesting. It may not work that easy in real time. LW also doesn't use it in backtesting.... Correct me if i am wrong. Thanks.

Thanks for your comments. What is then, the correct approach to use it in real time trading? Backtesting looks "easy", but I've found that in real time things change.
Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong.

All the none-interpolated MTF indicator are not supposed to be used in backtesting. For backtesting, you can use interpolated or realtime versions instead.

I made a quick calculation to compare the fixed amount of money per trade against the fixed risked amount of money per trade.
It might be interesting for some of you, at least, I was surprised that there is a significant difference!
Its based on the last 25 trades i took on the 4h timeframe with approximately 70% winner trades, and 30% losers. (I cleaned the numbers to make it easier)

I use everything as a guide, but I'm not
married to it. I'm a price action trader that really like's
the Tms system. If I see a good set-up (pin bar for example)
I'll jump on it regardless of the tdi or pac. In other words
I approach this pretty flexible...but I look at everything!

Your analysis looks pretty accurate.
My ratio is about 70% winners & 30% losers.
(The losers happen for some reason). Always
use a emergency stop. I position size (and risk size)
if I'm taking a high risk trade (in my mind) I'll reduce
my position size. For example trading into the daily open
line (which is higher risk) I'll reduce my position size.
Every trade is different. Every set-up is different. So I
position size to reduce my risk. If everything is perfect
(tdi, trend, levels, higher time frames, etc.) I'll jump on it
with a larger position size...but I always use a emergency stop
just in case my analysis is wrong...

Hi everyone, i'm looking to move from my demo account with IG Markets to a LIVE account soon to trade TMS LIVE. I'm based in the UK, anyone here based in the UK who have been trading form some time and can recommend good honest agent/broker to open a LIVE Trading ACCOUNT with? I am worried as i have read how trading agents/brokers hedge positions against you and how they manipulate the trades/spreads so you end up a loser, IG being 1 one of them.......

Any recommendations will high greatly appreciated....thank all.

Why is trading TMS 5-Method so difficult for some traders? You need to answer this question yourself and work on yourself.

Back-testing has its pros and cons. Know what you are doing and what you look for when back-testing.

The 'correct' approach is one which you have defined for yourself and tested over 100, 200, 300... trades, fine-tuned and show consistency in trades results. That would be your correct approach and you are comfortable with. It is then your own winning trading system which fits you. You need to have your own blueprint for trading success. You won't find it here in FF.

My suggestion is drop the MTF TDI thing. Focus more time into learning Price Action and the use of Support and Resistance. Develop your own rules but first know what TMS Basic Rules are and test them in real-time market. Read eelfranz' post and how he look at PA and S&R.

Many here have chosen to use the Synergy_Pro_TDI and the Synergy_Pro_APB which has its own PAC build in it. If you use that, you must know how the Synergy model rules are and test them in real-time market condition. Fine-tune the rules and make them your own rules which only you understand them.

Synergy BASICs : Post#5,695 in X-Man S3 thread for H1 and H4 trading.

You want to be a consistent winning trader, you have to develop your own system using the 5-Method as the core technical trading method.

I totally agree with that, I am learning TMS for 3 months now, doing exactly what eelfranz was teaching, and keeping it as simple as possible. As i was a price action trader before i found TMS, i combined it, that means I focus on TDI first, and search for conformity in price action, the TDI and the synergy bars are all indicators on my chart. I found that looking to the left is much more accurate than any indicator, and after a lot of backtesting and demoing, i have an accuracy of 70 to 80 percent on the 4H charts, and even 90 percent on the weekly time frame. So TDI, synergy bars, and price action "can" be all you need. I saw a lot of traders worrying about the additional indicators, simplicity can be very benficial Thats how it looks like, when i make my trading decisions:
