Just wanted to drop by and say hi to everyone. I'm having a TMS marathon, reading through Big E's posts (again), the main rules of the system (again), and Phx62's studies (again). I find myself wanting to do this every so often, because i always find something new i've never seen before. Starting new week with all information fresh in my mind, and one less currency pair on my trading platform (dropping the E/u). Me and my cat salute all of you, and waiting eagerly to see if Phx or Lastingwell want to share last week's trades with us. Green pips!...

Phx62,

Did you use the THV CaveManager to manage all these trades?
If, you did, did you use the same settings for all these trades?
Please post some screen shots of your CaveManager settings used this week.
I am trying to optimise CaveManager for a few traders here.

Thank you.

firas,

The one I posted was done by me for back-testing and system development to compare the DOTS levels.

But for trading, you can use the one shared by Erebus. If you need that to be customise for your own trading purpose, you can contact member CJA.

I see lot of new members were having trouble finding

1. How to use PAC for entry and exit
2. How to use TDI properly
3. How to read multi timeframe (MTI) TDI provided by lastingwell properly on your trading chart
4. How to stay away from consolidation

Below is a chart that will help you with the answers.

What does the chart teaches me ?

1. How to spot H4 PA movement and daily movement on your current H1 chart, as we trade based on the higher TF PA.
2. How to use H1 TDI to spot a trade entry and see if it comply with the higher TF PA.
3. What to look for in MTF TDI before taking a trade on H1, the sharp angle of Green, Flatness in Green, Below 50 or above 50 line etc.

Will this make my trading 100% fail proof, No. But continuous practice and testing will help you spot profitable trades and filter the bad ones.

I would be much obliged if Lastingwell can comment on if I read the MTF TDI the right way or not as she is the master in spotting trades with MTF TDI.

{quote} Next, My favorite 2 charts are the Daily charts & 4 hour charts. First of all, the Daily chart is the most accurate long term chart we have. Trades can take some time to develop. But if your a long term trader it is a awesome way to trade. The 4 hour chart is our 2nd most accurate long term chart we have. Trades develop faster than the daily. But if your a medium term trader the 4 hour can be very good. The 4 hour chart is used to fine tune the Daily chart. By what you wrote "there is no regular time or pattern when you have access...

Hello SJ, thanks for sharing your advice. Can I ask, on the daily do you enter a trade on the tdi cross or wait until a close over the PAC as per Dean Malone's method? I've been waiting for the pac, but often miss pips and the trade then fails to move in my direction.

Thank you very much for your explanations.

Do you use any specific settings for the TDI-MTF? My MTF does not look quite the same over the same period of time, please see attached chart.

Thanks a lot for sharing this!

A question, of course.
Have you started using the PAC again ?

Late edit :
Found another question.
Regarding the trade on Thursday. I took the EA long at FO, green crossing red, what seemed like a good TMS setup. I closed it when the following H1 candle turned red (LO) although my SL was below the asian low. You didn't take the FO trade because it is not according to your trading plan, or due to other reasons?

Thank you !

No Mordin, I'm using the default settings for MTF TDI. I believe Lastingwell or someone else can spot the reason and help you.

Thanks Emmanuel,

As I am not very good at spotting problems in indicators and use them out of the box with default settings. I really appreciate you pointed out that my MTF TDI has a 'Flaw'. I believe it is because I'm using synergy_pro TDI with 4H MTF TDI and not the 1Hr MTF TDI. I may be wrong in my explanation about the TDI problem.

Guess what I've been using the TDI with 'Flaw' and taking trades based off of it. I think its the time to use the right one now.

I would appreciate the feedback.

Kindest Regards

Mordin,

The TDI-MTF is based on the RTF-Clone.

You need that in your indicators but not on your chart per se.

Check post http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...23#post7814323 for explanation.

Right click the MTF and read what is it all about. It's a multi-time-frame (MTF) indicator like all other MTF indicators, just that it is based on the TDI.

Yours might be slow in drawing maybe you lack the clone? Re-apply with default settings. LW and Xaphod versions are the same as AussieFX and they are default ?!

This is my conclusion.

ZeF,

I already had the TDI-RT-Clone on my indicators, and I did not configure anything on the indi, just downloaded a template from LW. I removed and added it again, with the same result, late. I even tested with another broker, clean profile and does not look like MrAussie

Thanks

The latest vesion from Xaphod doesn't require other indicator as a dependency. Check out from his postings. Mine shows exactly the same as MrAussie's.
