i swear to god somebody knows who killed JF Kennedy, or the truth whether Area 51 exists or not..... we are just not part of the exquisite group of people invited to be shared these information with.

fxtyrant you didnt get my point. I wasnt specifical about gold. It was meant to be applied to any other monetary tied instrument.

we already know all the facts the Russians and Chinese governments are above board.

I dont care what they post, i care what in/out numbers say. They say serious figures over to what China/Russia in flows. And they say overboard to what China posts.

If that was the only thing you could argue - I totally understand who you are and why this duscussion here is not only useless, but even based on unchecked/unproven information.
By the way, apart from you, I am neither "Anti US" nor "Anti - someone else".

UPD. Gatorinla, I just realized that, maybe, I misunderstood you. If I did - then I am really sorry!

Best wishes,

+1 gold has a stupid & symbolic human value rather than anything else...2008 has probably only shown the limits of reckless human value...the problem with it?: this is so useless that everyone do absolutely the same thing in the same time... they all bought it in same time (1970ies) kept it for longggg ...then they all sold it: all their gold stock to save their a.. out from the crisis...but what happens when you can't find buyers stupid enough to buy it at 2000?... it drops simply faster =reckless moves

Hey nice point since 2008 gold rallied to 1700. Good point to back your arguments on. Jeez. I know where gold bugs lie, but you even discredit price and true demand. No comment on that. Let me just add to that, whoever bought at 1970 had no idea what USD is going forward on. You can not participate in FM if you dont understand what carpet is being put forward of you.

Gold can go to $5 & stay there forever if not used as a reserve currency. Has mostly no other purpose.
Oil can go down but only stay below cost of production for a period of time because we'll need it until we all use a new fuel for vehicles.
Silver is the better metal if investing in precious metals. Over 50% is used in industrial (solar, electrical, etc....) so even if it loses "investment" status, at least it will be used up so needs to be replaced. Still no guarantee it can't drop to $5 too & stay since 70% is produced as a by-product of mining other metals(copper, lead, zinc, etc...).

Gold does not matter except to peasants because it is shiny.

Energy matters period.

China can have every single ounce of gold in the world- and the only thing that will be effected is electronics (and currencies still "backed" by gold)- until they use another metal to cut costs.

USA has even 80% of the worlds NG and OIL, EVERYTHING is effected, as the US sees fit.

USA is playing chess, while everyone else plays checkers, and Russia is playing scrabble.

100% psychological

Merely to be able to say- "i have gold" and appease the apes.

FYI- titanium has infinitely more utility than gold (and any other metal), and there is more of that in the ground than any other metal. Why isnt it at the top? Pure psychology.
