{quote} Congratulations on your fatherhood, jurtzi I totally understand what you mean by saying 'the pressure of having to be profitable soon'. It is such a blind alley! I've been guilty of playing with high leverage before, just to get badly burnt. Oh well, as RJ says, sometimes we won't learn until we make a mistake ourselves. No matter how much you read, theory can't compete with experience and the pain of loss. I believe trading is about developing the right habits, and that certainly requires working on oneself. And it won't happen...

Thanks Jo, after today's "spring cleaning" done in summer (well if you call this UK weather summer) made 103 pips taking those two "downs" in EJ, so sun is shining for me

{quote} I have mentioned that I trade only indices (yesterday dow went more than 300 pips straight down, extremely hard to trade it ), but out of respect to this thread I will attach a UJ chart (nothing to do with me) just to make my comments clear. Very interesting Thomas thank you for the post I think it will help a lot of people that are struggling with their signals. One question that comes to mind. Usually at the start of a move I would think the last indicator to turn the colour you want would be the H1 arrow (most times) if everything else is for instance red then the H1 arrow turns red would you go in when that happens or would you wait for a new signal on the matrix first.

EDIT Sorry I meant to say the M30 arrow.

By the way it worked really well on EJ and AJ a little while ago, I'm testing it out

Nice question!
As I mentioned I want to have fast entries. Fast but (relatively) safe.
That is why I do not use the H1 arrow as many here do. Had I used it the correct approach would be to wait for the next M5 signal since the H1 arrow usually appears too late considering the initial signal.
Since I want to be "in touch" with the H1 time frame, I did a compromise.
I use the three arrows (M5,M15 and M30) AND H1 stoch.
The M30 arrow appears many times almost together with the M15 arrow when we are going to have a significant move.
So I do not have serious delay problems with it. Moreover in ranging or "dead" periods it is usually opposite to the M15 arrow keeping us out from small false moves.
At the same time I keep in touch with H1 not via the slow H1 arrow but via the much faster H1 stoch.

So according to the above logic I will enter at a closed M5 candlle when all boxes align no matter which their order is.
Be carefull though to what I wrote in post 15,253.
Not every signal is a blind entry!

This is good!
As I said, I do not know how to post charts, nor how to write notes on them (perhaps someone can point me in the right direction?). Apologies.
But look at GU today and see that little Genesis signal and down arrow just before the down break-out both this morning and this afternoon! Perfect. I would have entered those with my systems anyway, but the Genesis signal was a great confirmation.
EJ was another good example (morning and afternoon). Great opportunities on EU, too. Less so on UJ.
DAX was also good, but the signal came at a time when I usually do not trade. I made my target with my systems, though, so can’t complaint.
This Genesis rocks!

Thomask, can’t say anything on the DOW today as my OB (opportunistic b…..roker) has a 20 minutes gap in data at the beginning of NY open, so the chart is useless. One more reason for me to look suspiciously at MT4 and its brokers, especially for non FX stuff. But I will persevere!
Interesting development on your explanation of how you use the indicators. Thanks for sharing.

An example of why not to move your SL too soon... like myself today...

Next time, SL to BE after 20 pips, and trailing along the most recent high/low until the market kicks me out. Learning, learning...

Genesis team,

Trialled your system all day today and picked up the nice down trend on EUR/AUD. Looked juicy as it put in a top around 2 am GMT+1 this morning and then the 5M chart just looked great off each bounce down so this was my pair today which held it's descending trend line excellently and allowed for a nice build up of positions. The Genesis Matrix gave excellent entry signals all the way down locking in the 4 trades for 134 pips profit.

Cheers for the system and for sharing with everyone. Looking forward to getting more into it next week, and also great job on your information and PDF files.

Cheers and well done.

P.S Excuse my terrible writing on Paint for the image attached!
