Disliked..... Cyprus simply cant have enough collateral to cover its Target2 liabilities, so there will be quite nice hole in the Eurosystem if they make a bank run and then leave. I am wondering how much did they already withdrawn throughIgnored

DislikedTom nice to see a market post in this thread. The doomers are back after the Cyprus deal but I think most are missing the forest for the trees. Look IMO, more than Cyprus alone the problem was Cyprus solution. Opening pandora's box on deposit losses and Euro short term movement controls set an awful risk precedent for Spain and Italy later. All the other talk on deposit runs, panic and doom is just more noise than reality. DislikedI am more than sure than some of the big money (not only Russian but also European from which the UK has a big chunk of it) and bastards [foreign "banks" or related] took the money out way in advance ...I don't think there is one single case in banking crisis history that this hasn't happened. However, Foreign money (and there is quite a lot %wise) that stayed and are staying knew/know exactly their risk/reward ..they are not idiots ...the rest sadly are just the average Cyprus small business, investor/saver that will end up paying in full...Ignored
