I've attached an image explaining this: If I dont use the extreme to tell me when to enter I would enter either too early or too late.

Agent-Pipen,

You must load all the indikators contained in the Symphonie 3.0 Packet for the Symphonie Matrix v3.0 to function. If you do not then Symphonie Matrix v3.0 will not function because it is calling on only v3.0 indikators. Also, there are templates that I loaded to make ease of setup. Please the *.tpl files in your template folder.

No more waiting on 4 bars to close in v3.0 just exit of the first bar. Unless you like to wait 4 additional opposing extreme spike bars.

Nope. No explainations are necessary. All the situations, settings and ways that I trade Symphonie are all contained in post#1. Currently, I am trading Symphonie 60-5 using exit strategy #1.

I have loaded all the indicators into expert indicators, then uploaded templates into my template folder. closed out metatrader, reopen and right click on template. Am I doing something incorrectly?

Ohammond,

Extreme Indikator is apart and will always be a part of the 4 indikators system for Symphonie. However, you are correct the old indikator (GoldSuperCycle) has been replaced by a new Indikator (TVIv2 Histogram) as the new Extreme value in the job of Symphonie Extreme Indikator. It is still the Extreme Indikator but the alogrithms used to provide this value are more stable and most importantly do the same thing and do not repaint once a timeframe bar has completed. But I am sure you already know that! I just want to say again for all reading.

Wrong! Post #1 is totally relevant and nothing has changed but the algorithms that are used to identify the Extreme value. Instead of a red or blue spike you just look to the changes in red and blue bars colour instead of a spike. It is simplified in the basic format and now just like the Symphonie Matrix but broken into the individual 4 parts.

Correct! That is all you do from an indikator stand point. But Symphonie is MUCH MUCH more than just indikators and if you really read post #1 then you would know that. Some people print it out and read it over and over again but that is some people. Also, remember there are link sections that go to all the additional addons, tips, techniques, and discussions on situations all contained in post#1.

I highly suggest you re read the ENTIRE post#1 again (begin to end) because I follow post #1 rules and guidelines to the letter!

If you have

Symphonie Extreme Indikator v3.0
Symphonie Emotion Indikator v3.0
Symphonie Sentiment Indikator v3.0
Symphonie Trendline Indikator v3.0
Symphonie Matrix v3.0

all in your ExpertsIndikators folders then you should have no problem annd the Symphonie Matrix reformating indikator should function. Also, it is best to close MetaTrader first.........then load the indikators...then restart Metatrader.

Thanks to eval for this thread but Im getting really frustrated after seeing people say how successfull it is and I dont seem to be having the same results. Have a look at my chart below for all my entry and exits.

I remember eval saying it was about 80% correct using the technique in post 1. I must be doing something wrong, can someone look at my chart and check my entries and exits where correct (according to post1). I exit when I see new extreme (top row) change of colour. And enter when all colours line up. These are typical results below, yet with evals account stats I should of made a shed load of pips! so frustrating, dont know what I'm doing wrong.

total pip count for london open to close = +8 pips. Just need to know if I'm at least doing it right and these are expected results

If you are trading in 5 min then you need some higher timeframe to confirm direction. 5 Min timeframe is very prone to get caugh in whipsaws and you need a confirming factor to keep you with the trend. I use Symphonie 60-5 which means I only trade the 5 min when I have a valid 60 min Signal. Once the 60 min goes out of sync then I stop trading until I have a new valid Signal and then I only take 5 min Symphonie Signals that agree with the 60 min signal.

That way one trades with the trend and not against it. There are a few varriations used in confirming the validity of the 5 min Symphonie Signal. You have Symphonie 60-5, 240 MTF Heiken Ashi, the 15 Min Sentiment-Emotion, or using a more stable higher timeframe like 15 min or 1 hour.

In any event it is important to keep your trades with the trend and not against it that way your Symphonie Signals will produce better results because the orders will have market momentum behind them. (There are several methods outlined in post#1)

Sorry, but I don't see from that image how you would enter too early or too late, you are waiting for all of the indicators to agree, yes? So where you have put the lines on the chart the top row (the new extreme) was the same colour as the one at the bottom (the old extreme) so no I don't see how you can say what you said.

What I've done is add the old extreme indicator v2 on the chart you've shown, which shows the history of where the spike was at the time, the ones you've shown have repainted (the whole problem for everyone) and now shows a lovely picture that wasn't there at the time. These show that the extreme was the same colour as the new matrix at the time EXCEPT where I have put the horizontal line, using the old extreme, you wouldn't have got a sell signal until the blue extreme had repainted which would have been a lot lower.

The original GoldSuperCycle indicator did paint Extreme Spikes, and I can well see how you named it as the 'Extreme Indicator', because that's what it's job was. However, TVi is MUCH more than a simple 'extreme' point indicator. It is a Tick Volume Indicator and it contains much information that is lost if using it as a histogram. Of course in the Matrix it can only be a simple red or blue, and that is the trade off for having the Matrix.....ie...information is lost. For instance.....in the attached pic you can clearly see where the PA is trending and where it is ranging......that is because the volume is not there to move the TVi and so it serves as a heads up that it would be a bad time to enter a trade. Of course this valuable information is lost when using Matrix, and that is a trade off. But to change TVi to a histogram achieves nothing and defeats one of the purposes of the TVi indicator.

As I said, it is much more than an Extreme point indicator as GoldsuperCycle was.

Yes, because Ohammond and I have been testing this TVi for many weeks now, we are well aware of it's stability and the fact that it does not repaint. When I first mentioned TVi to you, you dismissed it......and you said so even in this thread! We have tested TVi in many situations and in all time frames and I have even been trading it without Symphonie with great results.

Sorry that we don't agree on this Eval, but this is NOT an Extreme Point indicator.....it is a Tick Volume indicator (hence TVi) and to make a histogram out of it just kills half of it's value that has been carefully engineered and coded.

I will always use the TVi as it is (yes I use Matrix as well) because of the valuable information it displays and to pay respect to MaryJane, the TVi author.

Here is an H4 chart showing the trend. I've been watching this one for a while, and the recent trendline rejections are down to Bernanke...lol....is he playing with us?!?!
