BTW, we break these daily lows here ... VERY probably the first halt will be 1.2050 zone & then 1.2020's & probably a retest of floor .
The latter 1.2 floor will NOT take time to break downwards..(just like it broke upside on sept 6)...if the statement pukes out something averse to peg thingy!
Possibilities are many

SNB says "it will defend its 1.2 floor" "Policy remains unchanged"

lol ..of course, if they say anything else, we will see parity prolly within next 1 hour!

Hildebrand's exit may see the SNB's resolve tested, says BNP Paribas, but it isn't a game changer for the Swiss franc's EUR1.20 floor. "Given the regime change that will result from this the market may decide to test the resolve of the SNB," says Steven Saywell, BNP Paribas' head of FX strategy. "But given the success that the SNB has had in maintaining that 1.20 floor then this would be an opportunity for the SNB to dig its heels in and to really reiterate that the floor will stay and that it is very committed to preventing Swiss franc appreciation beyond that floor," he says, expecting a statement soon from the SNB to that effect. EUR/CHF is at 1.2140.

Swiss National Bank Governing Board regrets resignation of Philipp Hildebrand

The Governing Board of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) has taken note of the resignation of its Chairman. It regrets this decision and the circumstances that gave rise to it.
The SNB’s current monetary policy with a minimum exchange rate of CHF 1.20 against the euro remains unchanged. This policy will be pursued further with the utmost determination.

to much hype in the EURCHF nothing is going to hapen untill we leave it alone

He is member of People's party and we know very well their stands of "strong franc" problem.

They tried few times in the last few months to force SNB to set higher peg but without success. Just search google for "Christoph Blocher people's party strong franc"

Who was main problem? Hildenberg! Now Hildenberg is out. 1:0 for People's party.

In next few weeks we will see new chairmen ( 99,999% Jordan ) and very strong pressure on SNB to weaken franc.

I'm holding my little (0,2) long position from 1,2180 collecting swap, i hope will go up as soon as possible.

this pair has a positive long carry trade but not much. aussie yen has some real carry cash when that makes sense to long. <コ:彡

mayve snb gave quite hard work to do after this if the price pressure to 1.2 because actually .....they are fight with the "specualtor"......same like the yen case!!!!
