This is my opinion on your question. The forex market has grown by leaps in the last few years. There has been a substantial increase in the retail trade. Whatever the real number probably 90% of all retail traders lose money trading forex. Now we come to your question. Europe starts trading with London at 3:00 AM EST and in the hours before 3:00 AM starting about 1:00 AM and gathering more force by 2:00 the retail traders push the currency whichever way the masses want. Many experts (JOKE) like we see on Forex Factory and other forums and non posters move the currency in a certain direction against the real short term trend at least in this time frame or sometimes with the short term trend and then the trading desks open and they have orders to fill. There are other issues but as volume increases you usually see good action around 3:00 AM to 4:30 in the morning EST and these patterns usually repeat most days. You can make good profits if you can see these recurring patterns.

The same thing happens between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM EST just before the North American open.
