just a pointer re mt4.. google Smart Live Markets.. mt4 platform for spread betting.. in the uk tax free.. they seem at first glance to be offering a different approach to the SB world hopefully.

time will tell..but you can demo on mt4 with them for nowt..

Just redrawn my ltl short term,package keeps loosing what i've drawn in, on H4, so i'm looking for 15715. Prolly all wrong as usual.reasoning price held below dp on m5. Oops just noticed we got stuck @ 741 for 28 hrs. from 24 Nov

Just back for 1/2hr around the following:

Upcoming Event Risk:
12noon gmt: Uk Boe/Mpc rate decsion, Qe decision and Statement.

The greater probability is for no change to either but if there is an accompanying statement, this will be the thing that is poured over for any clues as to Mpc thinking, ahead of the search for more clues from the minutes due later this month.

Was hoping for some knee-jerk volatility around that release...oh well, price's current daily Lo is at or around the 61.8% 5667-5841 so far today...Finishing here with final look at current near-term 1hr screesnhot

Amazing to meet you ! I got back in @ 740 after news. Sucker for punishment lol. I trade manually. I'm giving this one 15min to see if 200ema crosses 20 ema If it goes back above dp and closes on m5 i'll get out.

The parabolic sar has broken through to the upside as well as the stochastics. Looks good to go long here but I'm only shorting GU so will wait for overbought condition to short. I am looking at 1.5950 - 1.60 maybe by next week before a big move down. Traded at your own risk though and make sure you use your MM. Edit: on the 15 minute chart sorry.

But maybe you can see what happened on thursday november 4, when the bank of england went for a 200B buying assets.

November 2, GBP went down to a low of 5960, wensday trend went high and closed in 6104, the movement started 1 day before the asset purchasing (just like today), and november 4 GBP jumped to closed at 6273 with a high in 6298, almost 200 pips.

My prediction was spot on and to be honest it wasn't rocket science, if you read the MoM from last month.

You basically got your years mixed up!

In November 2010 BoE HELD QE - http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standa...tive-easing.do

This means they are NOT adding to the existing £200bn QE that was implemented at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010.

If you are going to trade the news, you need to get your facts right.

I am short since 1.5815 and looking at the daily, this was a nice supply area with a significant price point at 1.5838 and a down trendline confluence on the daily/h4/h1. Didn't quite reach the 50% fib retracement, but does it always? We are below the monthly pvp now as pointed out by Wormboy and Digger1 (Little fakey to get those bulls licking their chops) and I am still bearish on this pair, although we are not out of the woods yet!

It has just hit the 618 on the 1 hour FIB. So indications are good for a reversal - I only trade 4 hour and above as I find lower time frames too risky. I would only look at entring a long at the 1.5700 level. Otherwise look for a short 1.5830 level.

But another major news from US within 40 min.
I think it's better stay flat for me.

I've been scalping the life out of the cable, euro and swissy for the last 2 1/2 hours.......... not much fun though have to have your wits about you
