Once the ABC pattern was established on the h1 chart, there were many abc dip buying opportunities on the m5 in order to get price to the ultimate H1 target.

i need to take a close look at what happens, if a spike crashes 3270... how does it react? it's a first for me...
Idea: break of 2570 due to nfp as a serious headfake, because on Dec. 7th the Irish budget might not pass...

just considering the opportunities... crystal ball kaput.

Good call Sissie. ES is held up at a speed bump; that's all, and pre-NFP it's no man's land anyway. Personally, I don't pay attention to DOW; who cares about an index which holds 31 continuously changing components vs. the S&P Ocean Liner.

I disagree with that view. IMO, you need to check the bigger picture (or at least the Dax before US opens). Yesterday most stock markets confirmed a key daily/weekly and yearly high (and the ES stayed a few ticks below). That level was key in any traders book.

The hard part is done & I do agree that it could be profit taking after the huge effort of breaking the cap since the financial crisis started. However, mania buying is too common in stock markets to ignore.

IMO, what are you seeing in your tiny 5 mins ES (out of hours) chart is the...

Pretty good Confluence...3300 area also acted as both S&R turning point a few times in the past. Will sit on my hands until after NFP and see if I can get a prime entry off the spike. Hope it doesn't dive before though.

As anticipated it has been playing out for about an hour now. Hard lines in the sand are still 3242 and 3262.

Wonder how many more here took a trade on a spike that they are now nursing. These are the kind of setups that cost most retailers their accounts, trading the ranges before seeing what happens to them.

Buyers are starting to show up here now.

Now whatever happen today, the dollar index is moving up. Euro will decline at least 2cent before the day is over.
Prices are never too high to begin buying or too low to begin selling.

Yes ... and another possibility is ... 15 seconds prior to release set an entry stop (a tight stop entry) either side of the current level then ...

Lustig ... aprox 10 - 20 pips in distance from prior release levels ...

Point taken friend! I didn't say there is no allignment btw. Dow & others. For me, S&P is the Mom & Dad of the US Equities market; that's all, which means for me I take it's moves much more seriously. But whatever works for your trading is great.
