plus volume rarely lies ... why have a move on news that was actualy usd +ve ( 85 k was less than expected but ignore the 11 k from last month and NFP result slope is still positive on monthly charts ... and if news is so bad for usd why did s&p break out to new 16 month high...

I'm hoping for a gap up, I bet on the rounded top Friday. The cable seems to be defying gravity, hope it continues until my tp is hit.

The GBP/USD is currently operating near the1.6020 level, where it had found resistance earlier today before the release of poor US jobs data sent it bouncing.

The disappointing US employment figures made the pair temporarily jump to mark a new three-day high at 1.6109. The upwards swing had no legs, however, and the pound's gains were quickly erased by concens this week over the UK's problems to get its budget deficit under control and the pair fell before finding support at 1.5957, a level that provided support early this week.

The area around 1.6038 has served as a resistance level during this week and the pair seems to once again be easing as the American session moves along.

details the fundamental worries behind the pound's inability to solidify the gains on the dollar: “The British Pound could see volatile trading over the next couple of months as the Bank of England begins to phase out of its quantitative easing program. The possibility that U.K. households will continue to face weakening labor conditions as well as tightening credit conditions could fuel further weakness. Finally, the threat of a cut in the U.K. debt rating from AAA remains a concern among long-term investors.”

Here is chart with Dubai news, someone mention it went up 100, for a 12 hour window it did but now we are 800 pips lower than that.

Think a China bubble bursting is less than Dubai 60 billion ? The Chinese banks have lent trillions ... live in a box you can borrow money ... much like the us housing crisis of 2007. The bursting of the China bubble will be as bad as the credit crisis of the US in 2007.

If China fails there will be a devastating effect in global markets. Now we are not talking the Chinese government . They will be fine and bonds etc are secure. No, we are talking the millions of global investors that have been buying Chinese assets ... the so called ' emerging markets' . the Chinese stock market crashing ,Much like 1999 and 2007 bubble in the us markets , will drive DX up into 90 or higher if it happens.

So much is being held on the Chinese emerging markets as carrying us forward as a global economy.

So before you start laughing at stuff that WILL happen if china bubble bursts,get your facts right. Go back in any charts and see what happens to usd when markets move down or any major terrorist attack. If China bubble bursts all global markets will head down ... usd up ... fact ... as it has always been in history of stock market it will be again.

1999 tech bubble gu dropped 16500 to 14000 different times then , a 2500 pip drop is more like a 5000 pip drop 10 years later
2007 credit crisis .... gu dropped 21000 to 14000 , 6000 pip drop
2011 china market bubble bursts gu 1.6900 to 1.0900 ? maybe , but for sure 1.2500 .

No rocket science or bullshit involved in this. Just history of price action;

Noteoverseas assets bought by USD loans .. the assets will be sold and then local currency converted back into USD as loans are paid off. Also driving demand for usd higher. Double trouble for usd bears is China bubble bursts.

So now who looks like a muppet ? clue .. it is not me...lol

Obama announced Jan. 8 the awarding of $2.3 billion in tax credits intended to reward companies that expand manufacturing of alternative energy technology, such as Vestas Wind Systems A/S and First Solar Inc. The credit was part of the stimulus and the administration forecasts it will create 17,000 jobs.

I gathered some intelligence to see whether the chinese crisis is a real thing that will happen or not...Shockinlgy, it is real and it will happen sooner than you think...Major contracts are being rejected, and there are many concerns over chinese mortgage corruptions and money being depleted out of the chinese system. A typical corruption in en emerging market at the time of boom that makes the emerging market economic boom un sustainable...The latest chinese government announcement of additional fiscjal injection is a desperation act to save the economy from collapse....Guys, the Chinese Bubble is very likely to burst....Many hedge fund managers have started their shorting positions on major currencies in anticipation that US Dollar will hike up...

Again, the crisis is real and it will happen soon...

GBPUSD is resuming its downward trend after taking a retrace above 1.6100 and looking to head once again below 1.6000 level and towards 1.5920 level. Break of 1.5920 level will set 1.5765 as next target.

On the upper side break 1.6100 level will set 1.6300 as next target for traders. Aggressive traders will look to initially sell GBPUSD around 1.6070 level. Conservative traders will like to hold back a bit and let GBPUSD settle in a direction before entering the market.
