UK Libor interbank lending rates continue to fall
LONDON (Thomson Financial) - The cost of borrowing between banks in the UK continued to drop today, following last week's move by central banks, including the Bank of England, to pump liquidity into money markets.
The three-month sterling London Interbank Offered Rate (Libor) -- a key indication of banks' reluctance to lend to each other over the medium term, for fear their loans may not be repaid -- fell to 6.06 pct from 6.10 pct on Friday.
The one-month sterling Libor rate fell to 6.10 pct from 6.15 pct, and the overnight rate remained fairly steady at 5.56 pct.
