Yes, after blowing up 3 accounts in the past years I learnt to take out the emotion from my trading and never trade against the trend, but it was not easy, when the trader manages that he is half way to his goal!

You have to keep in mind not everyone has the same exact goals and there are many different kinds of traders. For example, some equity option players like to use options for the leverage and place positions that may yield large returns or nothing at all; Some option players just use options to hedge a winning position agsint a downturn. Similarly, Forex offers great leverage and the means to place large return positions or nothing at all. Granted, Brokers like to pitch cash management and have traders getting in and out 20-50 times a day to make their money, but the fact is trading doesn't pay by the hour, so sometimes taking a large risk for a large return is equally acceptable even if it means "blowin up" your account. It's all the same stuff. I just feel for FXdaily, because we on same side of trade at the moment. no biggy...

I wonder how on earth someone should be long after BOE voted for interest rate cut.. can you tell me why you was long? Did you see any signs or any charts indicating that price will go up? Just trade what you see , not what you wish.

The dollar rate was cut, why has it rallied? Rate cuts and differentials are not the biggest factor in Forex price movements in my book, I look at overall economic strength as an indicator. Granted my timing in GBPUSD positions has sucked lately, but in the big scheme of things the pound can remain strong against the USD. The Pound agianst the EURO is another story. But the good news is, when EUROZONE players can invest more inexpensively in England that wil surely help sure up their economic situation. There is a bit of the three way going on here. I think the key catalyst for the GBPUSD to stop downward trend is Higher Oil.

I am just watching today, but cannot agree with your analysis. On Christmas Day, only few people trade, and they can literally push the price any direction. I think this is the day for gambling and fun. Naturally it is difficult to consider the trade with 6+ lots a fun, but still, if someone can afford it...

That must be the 10th time I heard you say, trade what you see not what you wish. I appreciate the dialog, but there have been many who saw 1.98 as support. It's all a risk, especially on an illiquid day like today. i am stil of the feeling this strongarm to the downside today is a buying opportunity.

I see alot of bickering on this thread. If someone wants to go long, then let that person go long and vice versa. Maybe that individual knows something we all don't know.

Everyone can express his or her views. A few months ago when I said cable sould be going down to around 1.97xx and even 1.88xx, someone people called me nuts and criticized me. Well, to them I say:

Out of all fairness, I don't see it going up. The next step I see is around 1.96xx, then 1.91xx and then hopefully, 1.88xx. After that, anyone's guess. Up to me, cable is headed down shit's creek. Go with the flow or get ready to swim in shit.

Trend is still down to about 1.9580.
Then expect have a huge bounce back.

Shorter get ready to cover at that level, buyers can have nice near term profit when reversal will inevitability happen.
