Is anyone willing to vouch for the 10% monthly average gain that Bill speaks of at the end of the second edition? I've had one person vouch, but the past few months the 30m setups have been rockier than usual, so I've dropped to the 5m while filtering entries using the 15m. I'm already pretty confident in this strategy, but the more vouches the better. Also curious if you've had to add to or tweak the strategy for these gains, thanks

Unfortunately, I can't report consistent results yet, as I've only recently started testing the system. I'm currently trading with a different strategy, but I really connect with Bill's approach and mindset. At this early stage of testing, I can say the strategy definitely seems promising.
I’m also using an RSI (with default settings) alongside it — not for confirmation or filtering, but more as a kind of safety signal, if that makes sense. For example, if I glance at it and see the RSI is extremely high, I might choose not to go LONG — or the same goes in reverse. But all of this is still in the experimental phase, so I don’t have any solid results to share yet.

I've read the books and watched almost every video I could find. The opinions are definitely mixed — some even go as far as calling it a scam. But let’s be honest: a lot of people don’t apply strategies consistently, and when things don’t work for them, they’re quick to call it a scam or nonsense. The key to any strategy is following the rules consistently — and of course, proper money management.

I’d be really interested to hear your experience with this system.
What do you focus on when filtering on higher timeframes? What exactly do you look for?

One thing I haven’t been able to get my hands on yet is the Profitunity Home Study Course, and I really need it. So if anyone out there has it, please don’t keep it to yourself — share it with us if you can!

No worries, and I agree that the home course would definitely help, but not sure if it's absolutely necessary as the second edition book is pretty definitive. I would also be curious about the course content though, more knowledge wouldn't hurt. The people calling it a scam are doing something wrong, simply put. The person who told me to read this book and master it had very good results, which in turn led me to go all in on this strategy, and I had good results for months on the 30m and the major 7 pairs. When things got kind of slow and rocky on the 30m, I switched down to the 5m because there were many more setups, but many more fakeouts at the same time. So starting this week, I've been testing only hopping in 5m reversals if the trend I'm reversing against is slowing momentum on the 15m using the alligator and AO. I wish you all the best, and I believe we are both on the right path.

Even at first glance, it’s completely different from the old one.
I also bought the Profitunity Elliott Wave course, and I’ll be joining the private mentoring later on.

You seem to have a good grip on Bill William's Indicators and it’s great to see you keeping the 'Profitunity (Chaos) Trading System by Bill Williams' thread alive.
Love the indicators shared by @SwingMan (George) I was checking those Alligator indicators that were shared 15 years ago.

I’m still fairly new to trading (less than 6 months), and Dr. Bill Williams (RIP) and his Alligator indicator were actually my first exposure to technical analysis on the charts. I’ve been fascinated by it ever since. I’d love to dig deeper and test more ideas, but as a newbie I try to stay focused and avoid overwhelming myself with too many methods at once. Its in my list.

In my search to understand the system better, I went through the forum and also used GPT and Grok to gather the following notes on the Balance Line (sometimes called 'walk the line' trades).

Bill Williams "Balance Line"
In Trading Chaos (Bill’s first book, later updated in New Trading Dimensions and Trading Chaos 2), the Balance Line is the price equilibrium, the level where price would sit if no new information entered the market.
In practical charting, Bill defined this Balance Line as the Alligator’s Jaw (the blue line in the Alligator indicator).
Jaw = 13 period Smoothed Moving Average, shifted 8 bars forward, applied to median price.
This is why in many places Balance Line = Alligator Jaw.
In his own words, this line is like the center of gravity of the market. Price tends to oscillate around it, sometimes pulling away strongly (trend), sometimes returning (correction).

Why It Matters
The Balance Line gives a trader two key insights:
Market Equilibrium: It shows the “fair price” right now, before crowd emotions or news push it away.
Direction Bias: Where price is relative to the Balance Line tells you if it’s “uphill” (harder, moving against equilibrium) or “downhill” (easier, moving with equilibrium).

How Bill Used It in Trading ("Walk the Line" Trades)
The Balance Line became the 5th Dimension in his Profitunity system (after Fractals, AO, AC, and Zones).
It was used for anticipatory entries, i.e. entering before the normal Fractal breakout.

Here’s the core logic:

If price is above the Balance Line (Jaw):
→ Market is considered “strong” (momentum with the trend).
→ You can take a buy entry after just one higher high following a base bar.

If price is below the Balance Line (Jaw):
→ Market is “weak” (trend continuation on the downside).
→ You can take a sell entry after just one lower low following a base bar.

If price is on the opposite side of the Balance Line (against the trend):
→ You need more proof (2 higher highs for buy, 2 lower lows for sell).
→ These are “uphill” trades and more risky.

This is why Williams called them “walking the line” trades, you’re trading right as price pulls back to its balance, before the rest of the crowd sees a fractal breakout.

Visual Analogy
Imagine the Balance Line as a tightrope (line):
If you walk with the slope (downhill), one step is enough (1 bar confirmation).
If you walk against the slope (uphill), you need two steps to be sure (2 bar confirmation).

In Context of the Whole System
The Balance Line isn’t a stand alone tool, it’s one piece of the Profitunity toolkit:
Alligator = defines the balance/equilibrium state (trend vs range).
Fractals = define breakout levels.
AO/AC = measure momentum/acceleration.
Balance Line = lets you enter earlier than a fractal breakout, using equilibrium logic.

So Balance Line trades = Early entries, faster but riskier, compared to the Safer fractal breakouts.

Thanks for mentioning Swingman`s contribution! I don`t trade Profitunity anymore, as I`m only trading options. But its my preferred tool to get my "market opinion". The chart - and you use only 1 TF - just speaks to me.

How much is the course, man?

First post here,

I finished reading all 3: Chaos Theory, New Trading Dimensions, Chaos Theory (2).

From my understanding, the books progress from more theoretical to a refined strategy. I am currently paper trading and replay trading with the third books strategy but can't find an edge. I usually get my stop losses hit before any profits can be captured. I have tried the following timeframes: 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h, 1d. Also I have yet to encounter sleeping alligators, usually it is actively moving above or below without building up a solid trend. It is to be expected to some extent, the book does say that ~80% of the time the market will go no where. It feels like the market chops its way up or down while not being able to actually apply the strategy. Does anyone have any recent success with this strategy?

I have tried so far: NQ, ES, XAU, USDGBP, BTCUSD.

My entries are the wisemen. I have experimented with some info from book 2 but didn't stick with it.
