I started this thread because I need help form someone who is interested in the Bill williams chaos trading system and also has excellent MQL programming skills.

If you are new in this topic please read the other treads in this forum about chaos trading system:

Profitunity (Chaos) Trading System by Bill Williams

Chaos Trading System

Trading Chaos?

I have found an excellent indicator "ZoneTrade" that is based on this trading approach that integrates Acceleration/Deceleration Technical Indicator (AC) and Awesome Oscillator (AO) into the standard candlestick charts. In this way it is a lot easier to tarade in the zone.

Accoding to the developer of the ZoneTrade indicator http://codebase.mql4.com/4797 this is based on the following:
The indicator is written by the fourth dimension of B. Williams - Trading Zone:
If the current bars of AC and AO are green, it shows that the zone is green.
If the current bars of АС and АО red, it shows that the zone is red.
If the bars of AC and AO are differently directed then the bar is colored grey (grey zone).

My own idea is to improve this ZoneTrade indicator and extend its efficiency by integrating this approach into "Heiken Ashi" candles. These Heiken Ashi candles are powerful and easy tool to filter trending and sideways market.

Please see the picture of the both indicators and think about the innovation by combining both of them:

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/4257/zonetrade.gif

Please could somebody combine both indicators (Zonetrade + Heiken Ashi) and develope a Heiken Ashi version of the ZoneTrade indicator. I think that this will be the excellent advancement of this trading technique.

I also attached the code of both indicators.

Bill Williams and his daughter are master traders Bill's work is outstanding.About the indicators the Gator is fantastic, the AO is a version of his first experiment with the MACD,in his first book he mentioned that the MACD 5/34/5 is the best indicator he has come accross, and advised to throw away all other indicators. Now that he has invented his own indicators his latest are the best .Not for me the MACD 5/34/5 has stood the test of time,it's free and very very accurate, why would I wnat to change and go and buy some fancy indicators.Profitunity MACD with the Gator works just fine.

What are you talking about less4more? His AO has ALWAYS been the same, he just changed the name and he NEVER said the name change made it better.
Sheesh - his basic (from the books) system has always been free - his home study course and private tutorial is where the action is. Speaking of which, if there is ANYONE reading this who like me has done his course please PM me.

There is no system or method in Bill Williams book, except what is there to help beginners get started. I think it's important to point that out, because there is a great deal of misunderstanding of what this book is about.

Bill Williams describes the progress of a trader through 5 levels:

Novice Level: Objective: To not lose money while gaining experience.
Tools: OHLC, volume, MFI, Profitunity windows and air bag
Summary:...The tools you should now be using are the individual bar analyses(OHLC) which will tell you who is in charge and what they are doing....you should recognize quickly and immediately the immediate trend direction.

Level Two - The Advanced Beginner: Objective: To make money consistently on a one-contract basis
Tools: Elliott wave and fractals
Summary: ...We examined the Elliott wave by looking at the basic rhythms the market follows. Next we analyzed the characteristics of the individual waves and introduced a tool that takes the ambiguity out of wave counting. We focused on the found uses of the 5/34/5 profitunity MACD...

Level Three:The Competent Trader: To maximize the total ROI by trading multiple contracts, spreads, and writing options.
Tools: Profitunity Trading Partner and Profitunity Planned Trading
Summary: At this level our aim is to maximize our ROI with multiple contracts...

Level Four: To trade your own belief systems
Tools: Left hemisphere, core, right hemisphere
Summary:...At level Four, we step outside the boundaries of classical physics and the Aristotelian world...at this level of trading, continued improvement in results is 99 percent letting go and 1 percent learning more....

Level Five: To trade your states of mind.
Tools: Your own various states of mind.
Summary: Two stories from the Bible illustrate these two states in the process...In each of these stories, the initial discovery, the first stage, is followed by a second stage in which personal sacrifices are made and former beliefs and attachments are abandoned, in order to realize a new possibility...The sense of unity, even in the market, extens to the perception of time. Instead of perceiving a succession of different moments, and movements within those moments, a trader in this state perceives all as being identical.

A man who is familiar with how to trade at "Level 5", would certainly not need to trade at a level 3, or lower. However, he might teach the basics to beginners who seek out his counsel.

He does trade from a Level 5 but by trading multiple contracts. He pyramids his contracts as his trade develops.

i am pretty sure bill williams does not say anywhere that he has a robot for his system. his system can not be put into an EA in my opinion, that is also what he states in an interview with stocks & commodities magazine. a fractal is not a fractal .. and a waking up alligator is not a waking up alligator. there are a lot of subtle differences you have to make with this system. a robot could never account for that. this system is based on an ever-changing market - exactly the thing every robot fails at.

I agree he has never made an EA but what do you mean by "a fractal is not a fractal"?

simply: a fractal within a wave 4 is not the same as a breakout fractal after an initial upmove. referring to what they call "just because a signal (e.g. fractal) has been formed, doesn't mean we take it"
