My pivot for March is 2513. I fully expect price to hit this number and maybe slightly below and then rocket up. I do not see price breaking below the low of February's candle. It can happen but I don't see it. I will sell towards 2513 and then look to buy there and hold for the entire March.

...In his books The Disciplined Trader and Trading in the Zone, the late Mark Douglas introduced his 4 Fundamental Truths about Trading. I have referred to these many times on this thread. These books were written many years ago, so I have 'updated' and added to these based on my own trading career/experience to date. They are below;

The 9 Fundamental Truths about trading any financial instrument/market.

1. Anything can happen.

2. You don’t need to know what is going to happen next to make money from trading.

3. You need a proven trading edge with a positive expectancy, (proven by you, not a third party, - over a representative sample [s] of instances on the t/f /horizon [s,] on the trading instrument [s,] and in the market conditions you intend to trade it in.) You also need to have developed the necessary personal psychology to trade your edge as it needs to be traded (ie per it’s rules,) to be net profitable over the given sample size that it is theoretically profitable over.

4. There is a random distribution between wins and losses for any given set of variables that define an edge. (Ie; we don't know which of our individual repeating set-ups that make up our edge will produce a win or gain on any given individual instance that it develops, - all we know is that over a pre-determined sample of instances it does, (based on historical precedent,) we will realise a gain, provided we trade the edge correctly.

5. You need to know the relevant/pertinent stats about your trading edge to ensure that you always know that it is performing within it’s known historical boundaries. These include win rate, and % chances of whatsoever consecutive losing runs of trades @ the win rate etc. Your risk profile to trade the edge should be optimised to the performance stats of it.

6. It is highly unlikely that you can make prediction your edge. This is not to say that you might not encounter luck using prediction, but over the longer-term, for consistent year-on-year profitability, you need to look for an analysis-based edge, technical or otherwise.

7. Market participants who say they know for a 100% certainty what will happen next to price are lying both to themselves, but worse than that, to others.

8. Trading is a very personal thing, there are few absolute rights and absolute wrongs, but you have to able to understand and deal with risk, and uncertainty.

9. There will almost certainly be a lead-time of whatsoever duration before any new participant becomes reliably and consistently profitable from their trading activity.

The GBPUSD price action on the daily time frame is consolidating within a rising wedge (blue). Presently it is in a bearish mode as the price action retested the lower wedge trendline on Friday. It is also at the intersection of the trendline and an intra-day horizontal support. This may result in a bullish rejection of the area, at least in the short term. Nevertheless, the dominant technical structure is bearish.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.
