Disliked{quote} That's why they called it NFP “Not For Professionals” and in French they called it “No Fukin Problem”. Will closed all position before data release and to find a position after the news (depending on price action set up), I don't open a position at news time. Always wait for the data to come out, Take car buddy, stay cool. Just stay focus, if you want to know how, just ask.Ignored
My favoured post-NFP release plays are;
a. Get with any momentum (spreads allowing,) particularly on any thrust candle closes 1min+, (pot supp/res factors allowing.)
b. In the event of a strong decisive downside move - buy the 1st lo, sell the 1st p/back.
c. In the event of a strong decisive upside move - sell the 1st hi - buy the 1st p/back.
Of course, as you rightly say, you have to judge the reaction and PA before just jumping in. Many times I am flat until it settles down and of course, like you, always flat going in, unless stop is @ better than b/e with forecasts in favour, then I might hold an open trade going in, but it's a rare event for me.
