Cool, feel free to post H4 setups that you might be considering once you've done your analysis. I am only tracking on D1, but the theory is the same for all TFs so the observations would be useful.

@pt49, I appreciate this thread. A lot of trading strategy threads tend to morph into something with completely different rules and more complications than beginners can handle. While there are plenty of price action ways to trade this, forcing the focus on long wick dojis and daily charts only is a fine way to instill patience from the beginning.

Beginners can learn a lot here. I believe patience is the key. It took me more than a decade to understand that. Once you master the patience, everything else will fall in line.

First trade on this strategy.

MN down to D1 all bearish.

D1 doji rejection of the EMA14.

Looking at H4 there was a nice range down.

I entered off the last high that was created before the daily close.

I have tightened the SL to almost B/E as no need to leave any risk on the trade at this stage.

What are criteria to assess whether a swimg trading system is good or bd?

(1). it can follow price swing or follow zig zag price movement. when you can catch zigzag, no worry about other things.
(2). it run on positive momentum, and stay with momentum until momentum loss.
(3). ?

Nice curving pattern for shorts imo, just need to manage risk on it

Amazing I started to learn coding about 20 years ago but couldn't concentrate to study it. I just got too old.
Here is a shot of the last 23 months on the Daily GBP/USD.
You should be able to expand it somehow if you can.
I noticed your Indicator missed a good entry short just past the high at 31st July '23... it went to 21r
... hence, I'm posting this Chart for you to fine tune your Indicator and for others who wish to study it.

(3) it allows you to sleep through trades... live a a normal life!
(?) the trend REALLY is your friend.

Ah I see ! Because I add another extra HTF Filter EMA30 to ensure the trending condition. While I will try to make the extra HTF filter optional on the backend, for now just change the EMA30 to EMA16.

After fine tuning, I will add an alert for the indicator, so everytime the pinbar shows up, we will get an email and also push notification (for TradingView Premium only).

Daily trades the last few days or so were on:
eurjpy +.25r
euraud +1r & 2.97r
usdjpy +1.8r
audnzd +5.6r
... with some still running.

I traded a few hourly trades last night... rules exactly the same on hour as on Daily.
If you back test it for scalping I'm sure you can find profitable pairs... DON'T trade live without back testing it YOURSELF.

HOURLY... 12 pairs gave us about 18 trades that I found with many still running...

uraud doing best with +2.34r & +0.6r
udchf +3.5r &DD
audjpy 2 trades in DD
usdcad +1.27r
nzdjpy +.7r
gbpjpy DD
NAS +1.95r & +1.1r
Dow +1.0r & 2 x stopped out.
ASZ +1.29r & +.9r

Yey, it's done with the new update to make the higher EMA filter an option. Anyway, the TradingView team texted me this morning telling me that my script / description somehow breached their house rule. So I need to reupload to the new one.

Based on H1 EURGBP. Entry with stop order 1 pips above the high, and stop-loss 1 pips below the low.
Let's see how it goes.

It's a loss. Price turns back to the downward (following higher timeframe downtrend)
