Hi D,

look up the posts by DonPato with regards to price movement and liquidity, but in a nutshell, price moves from one point to another due to the orderflow of incoming market orders hitting the standing bids and asks. I personally don't trade liquidity because Forex is not traded through a centralized exchange and so you don't have access to real-time order book data, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. I'm just not smart enough to determine where those points are until after the fact. I know that some traders focus on "obvious" S/R points with the belief that bids/asks are aggregated at those points, and that's probably true. Anyway, RickM is another member who trades off liquidity, but I believe he doesn't trade Forex. But both these guys (DonPato & RickM) have numerous posts regarding price movement and liquidity, and both are excellent to learn from. Personally, my trading is akin to Waveskkierrob, so I don't use charts, indicators, or PA to guess which way a market might be going and haven't in quite a while. I was never smart enough to figure that out.

Yes, I don't use any indicators for SR lines. Actually if we see price action, price reversal areas are figured differently for Bullish or Bearish moves. When there is major event I trade BOS (Break Out Structure) and follow the trend...and look for CHoCH...when the move is complete. So when move is complete I trade Support and Resistance until next major market event.
always look for confirmation on H4 or higher time frames...they don't tell you lie...lower time frames usually fool us.
To be honest...I learned S/R Idea in detail from Mr. Pat_Chiko...Learned Breakout from Mr. Terry Taylor ... and Trade direction based on Weekly and Daily Candles from Mr. WaveGarrick.
I respect these guys from core of my heart... and this is not so long just couple of months ago. Mr. Pat_Chiko has great threads for learning. importantly Sang Real Notes.

Experience and instinct can also be hint clues.
Even beginner like me sometimes would have right predict/expect when I take a look on the charts.
I won't judge other's expect /opinion , but would take it as a reference.
