In my opinion, there are 2 realities, the fictitious and the true. 99% of the population lacks their own initiative and has been programmed for what is politically correct and the percentage that remains uses common sense without influence. That 99% is very easy to deceive and take advantage of because they will follow the narrative that will satisfy ignorance. It is much easier to turn on the light switch than it is to know why the light exists.

When M.Douglass explains his consistent winner i always try to refer to how you manage your trade and your attitude at these particular moments when the market volatility is against you so i get a better understanding of what he is trying to say
Better to refer to a living example than a fictitious character.
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

History plays a major role in all aspects of life and I'm glad I integrated it into trading too. I initially started with indicators, then upgraded to ranges, then added ranges to historical data and lower time frames for confirmation.

These combo have really improved my trades but surely can still get better as learning never ends especially in forex where trends come and go from time to time which will require a height of flexibility to stay in the game.

Good to know a like mind exists in you, cheers.

I think last week simply confirmed that the algos that move price, move it to where they can given the open contracts that can be found using the experience of the same algos.

The price closed the week with a strong movement bearish. But i'll believe in a consolidation between the MA200-H4 and MA200-H1. Because the consolidation between this 2 timeframes repeat all the time.

That H1/H4 consolidation between the MA200s is simply demonstrating the reality of H1 swings building an H4 swing. When H1 and H4 begin a swing in the same direction, they are positively correlated. But at some point, H1 WILL make a retracement (swing in the opposite direction) and H1 and H4 go negatively correlated. If it is a "normal" retacement, then H4 will either not make an opposite swing, or it will be a rather small swing. But in any case, all of the time that the H1 is in the retracement, the H4 will be consolidating.

And stepping down in TFs, when the H1 goes into the retracement, what is M15 going to be doing? Gold star for you if you said building the H1 retracement by making a TREND in that direction.

So this is my explanation "example" of Headland´s post about news. Traders who rely on news should know why, when and what just like an electrician knows job. Not blaming anyone for not knowing the origen of things. just a comment buddy.

I already worked out why market spikes one way o the other when news show up. I already mentioned it some time back.
