So because 12-->3, then 4 x 3 --> 12 -->3. And so we find that indeed, a year of 12 months comprises 4 seasons of 3 months each. Perhaps your 2 x 6 would fit better with the demarcations via the summer/winter solitces or of the vernal/autumnal equinoxes. But note that once again, if the 2 soltices and 2 equinoxes are considered togther, it's 4 x 3.Ignored
