In all seriousness you ARE correct and people shouldn't be happy about a 7% inflation reading. What the market is happy about is the direction so "they" think ok, the FED will begin to pivot and now they are planning on when the FED will begin cutting rates - pretty stupid isn't that?

In MY MIND all this does is confirm the 0.5% rate increase tomorrow and gives more ammo for the FED to continue keeping rates above 5% - especially when inflation is 7%
...because you never know - until you do!
