My long term outlook for GU. First a bearish reversal at around 1.1575 down to 1.0400/1.0600. From down there, bullish reversal to around 1.2400 and that´s the highest we will see as it will start its journey towards 0.8200 by 2027.

Rishi Sunak is the opposite of what Liz Truss was. He is the so called ‘Fiscal Realist’, while Truss was completely fiscally irresponsible which led to market crashing 3-4 weeks in first place.

The energy problem in UK is a real one with winters coming, he will keep the billing cap announced by Truss but he will raise the Corporation Tax from 19% to 24% to fund it being fiscally ‘responsible’.

Second, he wants to tackle the inflation most (long term) which Truss completely ignored in her ‘Mini Budget’. So he is all in favor of raising Interest Rates by BOE which is positive for GBP but market has already priced that in last week.

Third, he wants to make UK energy self sufficient by 2045 or something by installing offshore wind farms which is far fetched but still kind of okay or irrelevant for market ATM.

Overall instead of cutting taxes Sunak is seen the one who is raising taxes to fund all the freebies.

GBPUSD price action on the daily time frame is technically bearish but in a bullish corrective mode. On October 4, price action attempted a retest of the 1.16420/1.14760 weekly supply (purple), it met some bearish pushback before turning sideways. Although recent price action has not been directionally significant, we may still have another bullish attempt at the 1.16420/1.14760 area (purple) before a southward turnaround.

I may be wrong. Trade safe and prosper.

Some remarks on Johnson...

First, how can Boris Johnson formally pull out of something he hadn’t formally entered?
(He never had the 100 supporters, thus he was not a eligible contestant to stand..)

Second, how could he have “hoped he, Sunak and Mordaunt could come together and unite”?
(That’s like Arsenal hoping they could unite with Tottenham and Chelsea.)

Third, what about democracy? Try to fix things ?
