BTW, the figure you've mentioned above is not official.
It is median consensus estimated by group of banks ahead of CPI.
Most traders took those number as "leaked" ahead of official data release

Honestly, from my Newbie perspective,those estimates sure all seem to be too low.
At this stage haven't banks realised they're constantly underestimating?

The best estimate so far I've seen is Cleveland Fed, which has underestimated by a few tenths, but has been pretty close each time.
You should give it a try looking at their figure.

Just some note on Micro :
Fed needs a reason to push interest rates by 75 basis points.
CPI will come higher to give that reason. Don't fight the Fed.

what happens if the market continues to rise and you continue to short but the price does not return to the average price? should you close out the whole position at some point with a loss?

Then when the price fell below border line, twice i took long.

Closed all now.

Can afford to wait until NY session.

Hi Bird, without confusing you from your post to another.

If i have a fail, i counter. i then make a trade off another trigger .This will hopefully fix the fail plus make some profit.
This too can fail, so repeat.
It happens. you can actually get to a point where the plus and negative trades can cancel each other out.
It can happen.
Remember, you can use a stop. i am not preaching how good counter is lol.
Trade well.
