In my humble opinion, you entered at the worst possible place (at intra-day resistance, and just below bigger resistance at 1.11) and at the worst possible time (just before the release of the news that were likely to be negative for G/U). And you played against a strong bearish trend, and did it on the day when G/U already moved against the trend by almost a percent (so was bound for a retrace).

By the way, bullish idea may be right for today, I won't be surprised if G/U goes up before or with Fed minutes. But the odds for this particular trade weren't good.

No clear direction at all… one trap after the other. I think we can see a drop below 110. FOMC minutes won’t do much to prevent the drop either.
