The fate of GBP/USD is closer and closer.

What do I expect? Total hawkishness from Fed today.
4.5% also to remain as year ends goal (currently 3.25%) (75bps and 50bps increase).

What is your opinion people? What do you expect from Fed today?

For me, 75bps still on the table.
I think mester talked about positive real rate yesterday, well the gap is still wide but are reducing. So 75bps hike will bring the increase interest rate while further taming inflation rate
More time in the market, does not mean you trade better!

Fed minutes rarely swing the market, as most of the information is already given in statement and Powell / governors comments (often the market spikes only to reverse later). In any case, hawkishness seems to be mostly priced in, so there may be an asymmetry here: any dovish comment may move the markets much more than hawkish ones.

Anyway, I think it's too early to think about Fed minutes, we have PPI in half an hour.

Yeah. That totally makes sense about dovishness. Definitely agree.
Well, as far as every Fed Meeting I attended to, price would go up, down, up or down, up, down.

Of course this is total nonsense, but I witnessed it quite a few times already..

What I'm trying to say is, we should stay cool and not rush into trade.

Which one is better and which one is worse? I expect hot print (imho structural reasons for inflation continue to be underestimated), but probably won't bet on it.

Well, the standard deviation from forecast to actual is at ~0.7%.

This means if we add the last 10 times using this standard deviation, we'll get a 3/10 possibility number will be red and 7/10 that number will be green.

That means... nothing..



Meh.. let it be green.
