(XX) When you haven't got data in your MT4 terminal.

Does this error message mean that the settings in the xml file are incorrect?Or is it because you are not displaying currency pairs on the mt4 chart?

I have not been able to resolve it since I asked the last time.

No it doesn't.

(1) This issue isn't related to the JF4XTrader EA.
(2) This issue should resolve after a few minutes if your internet connection is OK.
(3) Try open one minute chart for each symbol and wait till data will be downloaded.

Im using your EA and have some question:

1. I dont really understand about MaxLong, MaxShort settings, I am setting by your default, MaxTodaysShortsForSymbol="1" MaxTodaysLongsForSymbol="1" and another = "-1". However the EA still make 2 trade (4 legs) per symbol per day (?), see the attachment.

2. How can i just target to TP1? (don't have the second leg)

3. I need more test however I noticed that if TP2 is out of band and PercentRangeFilter >= "50" then possibility to touch TP2 is very low. So, maybe you consider to change the code like: if TP2InFilter="true" then just open the second leg when TP2 in range (if TP1 in range and TP2 out of range then just open 1 leg target to TP1)
(if you feel do not need, do not change anything )

4. Irrelevant, i would like to ask how you design the EA Dashboard and read the XML file idea, i would like to hear and learn

You cannot do this. At least for now. You can set minimum volume for the second leg for example.

The EA is very good and stable. Easy to configure. Strong.
I trade the BTM strategy for about 6 months manually in many ways. With trend, swing, scalping, with good results. And with proper money management.

Now. I want to place contra trend trades when the price is near the upper/lower bands of TMA and JFC draw reversal arrow. Like in the picture below.
I dont need the slope so I commented the line:

1. Is there any chance the EA to skip this line and do not take into consideration the slope of TMA?
EDIT. With line commented the EA is not loading but after line deletion the ea is loading all pairs. It remain to been seen if it will work when market opens.

2. I also need to ask, JooeF, if you have plans to give us the option to not use TP and SL at all. I wish I could use my own MM.

What I am trying to do is to use a manual technique with the EA. What begin with scalping is often transformed in long swing trades.
I open one single trade. (in the actual form opening 2 legs is visual disturbing) I close half of the position at 10 pips, move the rest at break even then I hit BE or ride the trend for hundreds of pips.

This method can be profitable. Definitely. However, proper money/risk management and position sizing will be required. And some sort of dependency rules and/or equity crossover rules will be needed too. I'm doing extensive testing right now.

Please don't do this. You'll get into trouble. It isn't as easy as delete something from XML config file.

Unfortunately I cannot post those results because are mixed with results from another 2-3 methods of trading. I can easily name them very good results but I don't want to challenge my fate Key is money management. In fact there are many strategies here on FF who need only MM to be profitable. And a lot of experience. I mean is not enough to set positive reward/risk. There's much more. Overtrading/overexposure, awareness of important news, strong levels, real possibility of recovering losing trades, just to name a few. But the most important thing for me is to not limit profitable trades, only losing ones.

Instead of deleting you can change the negative number like SlopeForDowntrend="100.0" SlopeForUptrend="-100.0", I have not try yet, but this may meet your requirements, the number maybe from -10 to 10 (too steep slope may not work as well)

You haven't had data in your MT4 Terminal. After the data has been downloaded the errors have disappeared.
