I personally stick to default settings and only adjust lot size and magic number

I maybe include the mid band filter,but so far,it's been very conservative and profitable using 1.03 and default values

So, today's results. Please be aware that my results might not be complete ...

(1) MinBuyR1="0.25" MinBuyR2="0.25" MinSellR1="0.25" MinSellR2="0.25"

This is the first problem. Do we really want to trade with r lower than 1? I'm not sure.

(2) PercentRangeFilter="90"

This is the second problem. Buying near upper band and selling near lower band isn't a good idea.

(3) TP1InFilter="false"

The third problem. For sure.

What about use only one filter: SL1OutFilter="true"

In the next version 1.04 I'll add new filters:

a) max opened trades for one symbol
b) max opened trades for long/short

We've got all tools. We only need to use them properly. Rome wasn't built in a day.

IMO... It's true that the EA is smart but it's smartness can never be compared to the intelligence of humans and that is why i suggest that whenever using any EA for trading try as much as possible to monitor it, don't set and forget.
Filters are great but I can assure you that it doesn't guarantee profitable trades, I've seen rr of 20 and TP1 OutFilters and the trade was able to hit TP1 and TP2 on its own likewise I saw rr of over 80 and TP1 InFilters and the trade hit SL... Sometimes EA might set unreasonable targets as TP and SL respectively, in such cases we as humans we need to know when to adjust those limits. Yesterday I was able to make up to 28% because I took time to monitor the EA and in some cases I had to take profit by hand and using other factors exit some trades earlier which turns out to be a good decision afterwords.

I'm not sure. It might be due to different data. I think. It's the most reasonable explanation. Especially if your other charts are "matching".

Yes. You can let EA trade automatically with 0.01 volume for example and when you make decision do trade with higher volume by hand.

Is possible to make filter something like percentfilter, but for range between band and tp1 which is outside band.
for example: range between bands are 100pips, if this filter are 20%, EA will open only trades which have tp1 max distance 20 pips form band.(if we assume tp1 are outside of band).
this filter will cover this trades on edge to get in or not, because personally i measure like that. Today was trade like that on EURUSD. First tp1 wasn’t inside of bands but it was very close to band approximately 10%

and with filter rr tp1 50or70or1 and with that kind of percent filter i think we have stable grow EA

I might to implement this filter. However, one danger is here. We will create too many parameters ... perhaps ...

Hi BTM Traders

I want to explain a situation that happens very often and i want to suggest a new filter based on this situation that can help to increase win rate of this strategy on long term. i explain two example that happened yesterday:

1- EURUSD

1- EA opened two buy orders at this point based on the available "base signal".
2- both orders closed by SL1 hitting.
3- there wasn't any new "base signal" after SL hit! so i opened a new order manually at this point.
4- as you see both tp1 and tp2 was hitted and i closed order near tp2 manually (it was a bit late and if i arrived a little late, price was coming back).
5- based on new filter idea, if there was a base signal and sl hitted, and if there wasn't any new "base signal" after that and then price closed above main pivot line again, a new order should be opened at this point again(5).

2- CHFJPY

1- EA opened two buy orders at this point based on the available "base signal".
2- both orders closed by SL1 hitting.
3- immediately after SL hitting i opened a new order at this point. i didn't know we were going to have a new "base signal" in the next two candles, if i knew i didn't open a new order at this point manually.
4- EA opened two new orders at this point based on the new "base signal" again. considering that we have a new "base signal" before price closed above main pivot line, so new filter shouldn't open new order at this point. if we hadn't the second "base signal" here (as in the EURUSD example), based on new filter EA should open new orders again after price closed above main pivot line.
5- i closed my manually opened order at this point.
6- one of two new orders that opened by EA yesterday, closed by hitting TP1 some minutes ago (while i was writing this post) and the second order is still running.

I can do this process manually everyday, but if EA do this automatically, it will be very easy and comfortable and you will be sure you won't miss any signal based on this idea and it can improve win rate and account balance gain on long term.

put fibonnaci, that kind of trades always return on 127, i dont know how to use this information just saying

Hi tuxtrader, good points there.

And how about getting rid of the pivots s's and r's and tp's and sl's based on them? I guess it would be too radical for most people here since it would change the basis of BTM...
How about staying in trades as long as bands are sloping in the same direction, and have bands as tp1 and sl, or have tp1 and 2 (and sl's) functions of atr...
It would be another project, I believe JoeeF and many will say...

1 or 2 days ago, I posted something like: BTM is based on a good idea, not new but good, that I and many traders try to use: looking for direction on a higher TF and looking for entry on a smaller TF retracement.
But there are several ways to do this (and pivots are not my cup of tea...).

Maybe I'm being too radical at this point, and BTM has potential.
Let's see how this thread evolves, because as far as JoeeF's work is concerned...it's top notch.
