USD/JPY closed little changed around 110.00. Fist support the pair will meet at 110.70 ahead of the 110.00 handle. The upside provides initial resistance at 111.55 and higher at 112.20.

I have another study in which the USDJPY drop probably will not start now. Maybe it will still rise to close to 113,650 before it actually falls.
It's still studies but I'll pay attention to it too.

Nomura's Bank experts note that in recent years, Japanese investors have been buying foreign bonds rather sluggishly,and in the last two weeks they have been their net sellers.

"Recently, the dollar exchange rate against the yen reached an annual maximum, which seems to have forced Japanese investors to abandon the purchase of us bonds without hedging currency risks. As soon as they hedged them, these debt instruments ceased to be attractive," the Bank's analysts write. - "Since July 19, the dollar against the yen has significantly decreased, which made the unsecured purchase of us bonds more interesting. However, uncertainty about the Bank of Japan's further actions creates risks of a short-term break below the Y110, where, according to our forecasts, there will be a large interest in its purchases. In recent weeks, Japanese investors have been extremely cautious, while speculators have been actively selling the yen. If after the meeting of the Bank of Japan, it will rise sharply, the Japanese are likely to be willing to buy the dollar/yen in the downturns."

It may just be a big coincidence anyway.
But note that in the cases below the turn of the trend occurred only when the price touched the red dotted line, which refers to the maximum or minimum of the MACD plotted on the chart.
This has not yet occurred in USDJPY.
As I said, it is only to be observed.
Only for a short time can this be an observation to which I can give an important attention.

it did. if you look at top left, that's the reason of dot line being there.
are you aware of what is macd?
have you study it?

Yes, I know the MACD well.
I am not wrestling against the USD / JPY - I am alias sold on it.
These are just comments I found interesting to share.
He had also noticed the touch on the dotted line in the past.

what i see at this chart is divergencym bearish. but i usually don't trade with macd.

MACD tops only once price has topped (and vice versa). But since you don't know beforehand that price will top how do you know MACD will as well?

And if you did why would you then need MACD?

My suggestion stick with price.

Also you do know scaling of MACD is affected by price scale, right?

I'll keep following just out of curiosity.
I am on the sale of the USD / JPY by the fact the CFTC data have given a possible sale on another follow up I make in the EXCELL.

Fundamentals are not my thing. Neither is MACD. I try to fight tooth and nail to get into a winner and then try max the ride. Currently I am a bullrider. Hopefully longer than 8seconds. Will be watching closely to TP some trades, as I have 6. I did go short earlier when it rejected 111.010 to start then had lower high on 2nd attempt. That didn't fair well. I'm hoping it can crack above the 100SMA on hourly. It's trying.
NB TP 2 of 6 trades at 111.135. It's at significant TL resistance there
NB have set next TP at 111.220
NB 07:30hrs TP 3 of 6 at 111.125. Limiting my ex[osure in case it rejects this resistance. last 3 trades BE
