And these same bars ( using a short trade as an example) seem to open in the top third of the bar and move up North a little before turning back South, leaving a small wick, and price passing the open on its' way down thus triggering a short trade ?

Short GU +5 locked. One of those same bar trades. They don't always work of course and I don't take them all, but manage to squeeze at least 5 out of a fair number and sometimes much more.

Scoffed breakfast and settled back on board to ride The Monster all day today. I know we keep saying it here and elsewhere but you really do get a feel for what your favourite pairs are up to and I wasn't going to miss this.

Double-Dip entry, all played off of DR2 and the US Open...

Lem, am i wrong, or in this case we can't talk about a "real" retest... i mean: the shadow it's too short and it hasn't really touched the new high

Am i missing something? ?

I would say the test was ok. 5 pips or so above the bar open. The full upper zone was about 11. There was also a combination of significant level and lower tf Supply Zone (which later solidified into same on the H1 - though admittedly, I didn't know that at the time).

I also mention that one gets a feel for their favourite pairs and this is certainly true of myself and The DAX. I know that this is typical behaviour from The DAX.

Good morning guys. I just want let you know that i'm testing exactly the same logic but on a daily chart looking for highs and lows of the month..

It works pretty good

That's how I used to run a variant of 1-2-3 / HOLO in my former life (and still do on the Indices and Differentials markets) - why I landed on TS' threads in the first place. It was something I recognised.

One thing you should know and you may like to investigate, is that we would run it on price only. That is, we would enter on a ''dipped'' entry as price crossed the level, irrespective of whether any candles had opened across a line (for HOLO-style for instance). In this style you can use a line chart. The ultimate in simplicity.

Once you are in a trade, it then becomes about stacking and managing your position size and exposure.

Good to hear you guys have made your way there and are making it work.

of course trigger line was the H1 open. but what made me buy was the rejection of the daily open line.

Nice. If you see a drop like that, to a level like that, on H1, then you have to expect to get some kind of reaction.
